Chelsea and Arsenal appeal red cards

Chelsea have appealed for Mikel and Arsenal for Adebayour.

Chelsea might have a stronger case, as Mikel doesnt do much wrong, freekick for holding Toure was obvious, though its Toure that starts the brawl.

The video doesnt show exactly what it is Adebayour does wrong, so it might be a case of "mistaken identity" with the ref believing it was Adebayour that hit Bridge. Either way, they shouldnt get far with that one due to his antics after he was given the red card.

I´m pretty sure Eboue will be given a 3 match ban, video clearly shows him hitting Bridge on the back of his head.

Which video? Is it online?

From the video I have seen, Adebayor was sent off for something the linesman said he saw.

I reckon they should reduce Mikel to a yellow card, give reds to Lampard and Fabregas and, by the sounds of it, Eboué.

Oh yeah, and deduct 20 points from both teams and 30 from Man United.

Thats the entire thing

This is the video of Eboue hitting Bridge

I agree, reduce Mikel to a yellow card.

Dont know about Lampard, but Fabregas should be given a red, he walks straight in and his little wrestle scene with Lampard just made matters much worse

LOL. Take that Bridge!

After seeing that, I reckon Eboué should be given a special match bonus.

Still can't really see why Touré went off so much in the first place.

A foul perhaps, but I've seen worse - not least in that game. Perhaps Mikel said something to him?

I doubt that Mikel said something to him, as he takes off as soon as he´s been given the freekick. would be a bit strange if Mikel told him something while trying to tackle him, but who knows.

Bridge going to the ground needing medical attention, what a joke.

"Right now I am just a little bit angry because Chelsea tried to spend time - to make up time - and I was just unhappy and I reacted to that."

wenger has them all indoctrinated with this sense of injustice that anyone could have the gall to spoil their beautiful football. they're currently obsessed with time-wasting; witness henry's pathetic outburst during the wigan game.

they're hypocrites. was happy chelsea beat them. hope they continue to win feck all.

They truly are a bunch of arrogant pricks.

Especially their fans, who keep complaining about teams coming to town placing all their players around the edge of their box to prevent Arsenal from scoring

exactly - if you have Lehman in goal you can't moan about other teams' time wasting tactics.

do chelsea have a suspended thing from a previous brawl? either v west brom or blackburn?

one with Blackburn

one with West Brom

one with Fulham

one for carrying out private dope tests on players

one for their fans fighting with West Ham's

they do have previous

but this is the FA we are talking about....

not to forget the Frisk fracas

and the Ashley Cole tapping up saga

quite a charge sheet in 3 seasons for Mourinho's boys.

The FA will dish out bans to:

Eboue

Adebayour

Toure

Mikel

They will fine the clubs/managers for what the players did, but the official reason will be Mourinho and Wenger getting involved on the pitch.

Cobs, you forgot about the Frank Arnesen issue, where they tapped him up from Tottenham

DOH !

can see Mikel getting his red reduced to a yellow, he really didn't do enough to get a straight red and i still haven't seen exactly what Adebayour did

It would be the right thing, but i doubt they will get it right.

How it should be:

Mikel should be reduced to a yellow, he didnt do anything but create a freekick that wouldnt have been more than a yellow.

Toure should be given a lengthy ban, he started the entire thing

Fabregas should be given a ban, he makes matters much worse when he starts wrestling with Lampard

Adebayour should be given a ban, the red card might have been a mistake as its hard to see what he does wrong, though his reactions afterwards is more than enough to secure him a ban. Refuses to go off the pitch, restrained from having a go at the officials.

Eboue should be given a ban, video clearly shows him hitting Bridge.

FA should dish out heavy fines and a couple of points from Arsenal and Chelsea, both teams have a history of failing to control their players.

the FA are more likely to go to town on both teams than show leniency

Since it'll help Man United you're probably right.

Then again, it'll help us so you're probably wrong.

Must be quite a dilemma for the FA and their newspaper overlords.

According to the above Chelsea did very little wrong.

However, I think Lampard should have a red card assigned.

can they just dock them points like they did when United and Arsenal had a dust up at old trafford in 1990?

but it wasnt in the league. Surely its competition v competition?

Agree on Mikel/Toure

Fabregas & Lampard both went in to split it up and ridiculously ended up scrapping with each other - both should have gone but as they've already got yellow cards the officials are deemed to have seen it and dealt with it.

I think Adebayour should be fined for his refusal to leave the pitch but if he genuinely did nothing (he might have done but i've not seen it) then he doesn't warrant a ban.

Eboue is a dirty little git and will get a 3 match ban.

the FA aren't going to dock points for that though despite the previous of both clubs.

it was nothing like the scale of that scrap

That could easily be Mourinho complaining there ??

What for a deflected punch ?
