Was watching the Man Yoo 3-3 (ruddock/clough2) the other day. i'd forgotten how good rob jones was and promised to be.

granted, his shooting was erratic, but in every other sense he was quality. i'm now thinking the best RBs at LFC in my time watching the reds is

1. P Neal

2. R Jones

3. M Babbel

4. S Nicol

5. S Finnan

Also ESPN is the dogs, and mark wright was another nearly but not quite man who you rarely hear about in a reds context isnt he.

Hope he plays in one of the Legends games sometime - be great if were to actually score a goal for us ;):)

Top, top player

Really was. Stevie Nicol's my all-time favourite, but I f*cking love Robbie Jones.

really tough to pick between the top 5.....the bottom 2 really due to their unfortunate injuries and of course ilness, we were not able to view them over a long period of time.

No Chris Lawler on that list? Good as anyone else there.

I was surprised there was still sad old gits like me who remember Phil Neal!!!!

Nicol would top that list for me.

i did think after posting i should have swapped nicol and babbel. all of them are of a very high standard though so its splitting hairs. lawler was before my time. and stevie nic played in various positions so that's probably held him back in my "best right back" analysis. i think when he won his footballer of the year, he was playing in central defence.
