Flight prices.

Can someone explain why the flight prices from the UK are getting so high? I was looking at flights to Boston for next summer and the prices are extortionate. A lot o it seems to be down to a) 84 different security charges and b) fuel surcharges.

 

Well fuel (as far as I understand) is paid for in US dollars ? given that the exchange rate is so favorable then why is it going UP. Secondly the price of fuel is well down form last year.

 

The final factor is the base charges that the airlines impose.

 

Are they all robbin c****?

 

 

I?m seeing prices starting at 650 quid pp for next summer and I?m getting pissed off.

 

 

Friends of mine are planning to visit but with 6 of them this becomes prohibitive.
