Very entertaining like, some great goals, but I prefer less entertaiment, and more solidity I have to admit!

 

But that Crouchygol was worthy of winning any match.

 

I missed Big Pete, glad to see him back.

 

And I loved it when Luis Garcia took out that referee late on

I tell you what though, the quality of Gala's crossing was immense.

We were poor in the air at the back. To be fair though Galatasary put some quality balls in the box and Suker and Karan are both very good in the air.

I think what we missed bite and battle in midfield more tbh, which was then allowing them to get more possesion and have the time to get way too many balls into the box. It was just too open there, they got too much of the ball, not enough spoiling and harrying going on.

 

And as mentioned - the quality of their balls into the box was then very good.

2nd half not the best for the heart. Dont know why Sissoko wasnt brought on once we got the third. The Alonso and Gerrard partnership just didnt work but in saying they have some very good players.

No, he had Gerrard next to him who did no defending. It's easy to play around a player if you have two against one. At times Gala had 3 against Alonso whilst Gerrard trotted back.

Kuyt and Crouch have to start, also fowler should be on the bench, he has an amzing record v Bolton.

and also what no-one has mentioned aurelio almost always had 2 runing at him as garcia was not helping him out. Its no coincidence that when gonzales came on and tackled back we were more solid. I rate garcia but I think you can onhly play him on the wing against poor teams.

Gala's Sabri looks a player on that performance. I know that Garcia and Aurelio where giving him space but even still he must have put well in double figures of dangerous crosses in on the night.
