Serko Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...ooney+over+book Moyes to sue Rooney over book By Chris Stanton - Created on 1 Sep 2006 Everton manager David Moyes intends to sue former charge Wayne Rooney over comments made in the player's autobiography. Moyes has instructed his lawyer Mel Goldberg to issue proceedings against the Manchester United striker. 'My Story So Far' shed light on the England international's £27 million move to Manchester United in August 2004 with Rooney suggesting he was forced out of the club by Moyes. Goldberg confirmed Moyes's determination to fight those claims. "There are a couple [of comments] but I think the main one is 'Moyes forced me out of Everton'," Goldberg told BBC Five Live. "No manager wants to lose their best player and that is far from the truth."
Tosh Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Funny I was judt going to post... "Gollum sues Shrek"
Serko Posted September 1, 2006 Author Posted September 1, 2006 That would probably have been a better title.
Stevie H Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 it's good to see such a professional manager concentrating so single-mindedly on his team.
smithdown Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 wooney must have really hurt moyeses feelings - any ideas how much he is suing for?
Guest Portly Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Mel Goldberg, Rooney's solicitor, was on BBC Radio Five Live this morning. According to him, Moyes is sueing Rooney for two claims made is Rooney's book "My Life So Far." (I hope you have all read it.) 1. Shrek claims that Moyes "forced him out of the club." I must say that at the time, Rooney didn't give the impression of being reluctantly forced to leave Goodison. 2. Rooney claims that he told Moyes about the granny-sh@gging episode and that Moyes then leaked the story to the press, thus breaching a confidence. One wonders what were the circumstances in which Rooney related this story to Moyes - was it over tea and biscuits during a break at Bellefield?
fred milne Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 The allegations have been in the public domain for a few weeks now. Why did Moyes wait until now start legal action?
StevieC Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 2. One of the Consultant's I've got in at the moment is a Bitter and he's adamant that the story was leaked by Shrek's agent (Stretford?) to make his position at Woodison that bit more untenable in order to facilitate the move to the Mancs.
Bootle Buck Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 One wonders what were the circumstances in which Rooney related this story to Moyes - was it over tea and biscuits during a break at Bellefield? No, They were at "Grab a Granny Night" at the Grafton. Rumour has it Moyesy had his eye on a GILF that night and Shrek snaked in.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 goldberg is moyes' solicitor f***in hell, Wazza has no chance.
