Frosty Jack Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 "For the benefit of Mr Kuyt" is a clear winner, funny, catchy, local connection etc. But the one to catch on is bound to end up "Super Dirky Kuyty" or something similarly s****.

Puskas Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Am I allowed to post songs for other players in the 'Songs for Kuyt' thread? Ah, what the hell , here's a couple for Momo (thinking about Mr. Ballack's 'monstering' the other day ): Should he stay or should he go now? Should he stay or should he go now? If he goes there will be trouble And if he stays it will be double So you gotta let him know He's been monstered by Momo (Second one is to 'Sweet Home Alabama') Our Momo SissokoHis tackles are so trueOur Momo SissokoMidfield monster are youOur Momo Sissoko That is absolutely fantastic, would love to get that going in teh pubs around the ground, fantasticYou mission, Big Wayne, should you choose to accept it... Please do get it sung. As an OOCer I'm unfortunately unlikely to get it going myself...!

redjersey Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Might have to rethink some of these songs. Just listened to the Press Conference from yesterday and when he was asked how to pronounce his name, Dirk said "Durk Koyt, I think is the best way. If you say it in Dutch it's 'Deerk Kowt' but that's maybe difficult here." Rafa pronounces it the Dutch way, but "Kite" doesn't seem to come into it.
Andy @ Allerton Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 So it's said like a 1930s Chicago Ganster saying 'kite' then?

Rusty Shackleford Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 (edited) I was browsing another clubs forum and there was a good attempt at a Kuyt pisstake. To the itchy and scratchy tune from the Simpsons. He's KuytHe's s****Ke's Kuyt He's s**** He's KuytKuyt Kuyt Kuyts**** s**** s****The ugliest forward line Be nice to see their reaction when he starts banging them in. Persnally I agree with the 'for the benefit of Mr Kuyt' song. As another poster said it has a local connection and is a simple enough tune for everyone to pick up. I don't see it being sung in the ground though, I think it'll remain in the bars mostly. Edited August 19, 2006 by PoonTangClan
redjersey Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Right click and save below for an mp3 file of his pronunciation. About 400kb. Kowt? Koyt? Right click and save target Bet everyone will still say Kite though.
