I noticed that .tv gave him the MOM for his first half performance?

We all know that Rafa is playing him in the holding role so that he may become better on the ball before he gets shipped to his CB role for the future.

Do people genuinly beleive he will one day become a first team regular? Is he really going to be a talent to watch in the years to come? Could we make a few bob off him if we have no room?

He is only seventeen, it depends on how he develops in the next 2/3 years.

saw a few of the fa youth cup games last season and he looked an excellent prospect.

Has has an unnaturally smug face.

I'd be smug if I played for the Reds. :ok:

He has a fair chance IMO, unless Rafa goes out and buys a few more CB's in the next few years. Sami turns 33 in the next few months and this will most probably be his last season as guaranteed first choice, whilst Carra is 29 next time so he probably only has another 4 years or so in front of him. That's all down to form and fitness of course. Danny Agger will most likely take Sami's place next season, maybe even this season, and Gabby will come in, all things being considered, when Carra can't perform at the same level. Jack will only have those two in front of him then - unless we've signed some super duper wonder kid or a player becomes available and who is too good to turn down.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Carra starting to pick up the same kind of wear & tear injuries that Henchoz did as he turned 30. Sami's style of play is different and I can see him operating at a very high level into his mid-30's.

Rubbish, Carra will play until he is at least 45.
