Apologies if this has been posted before..

 

But I was very impressed with the fact I can renew my season ticket AND also pre-book FA Cup, League Cup and 'Champions' League tickets to boot.

 

With me working away at the moment - I've had to bin the stewarding again and it's nice to think I don't have to spend weeks of my life on the phone trying to get bloody tickets for home matches - so that's all three categories taken up and all my League and Cup home matches sorted.

the catch is that you have to sit in the same seats. I like to sit in different places for cup games. But its better than dicking around on the phones

Or that they charge 50p per ticket, even if you pay by debit card and not credit card.

Yeah that's the problem. Usually cup games/ euro games are the only time you can get all your tickets together with yer mates. Now you can't if you agree to this scheme.

I'm amazed it has taken this long for the club to introduce the system - Watford have been doing it for a few seasons now.

Dunno - the way I got told it is I have already provided my credit card details per category - then what happens is as soon as a date is known for a fixture - either FA Cup, League Cup or Champions League, then I am automatically issued with the tickets as soon as they are printed and my card is debited for the appropriate amount.

 

The only 'catch' is once you sign up for a category (of three) you MUST then have all the tickets in that category - ie) You can't pick and choose which ones to go to.

 

Since I always go to home games this isn't a problem for me

One new innovation for season ticket holders is an automatic payment plan for Cup games, including Europe. To take advantage, all fans have to do is tick a box on their season ticket renewal forms. By taking this option, they automatically receive their cup tickets without the need to queue on the first day of sale, try and get through on the phone or book online.

 

If a season ticket holder suddenly cannot attend a particular cup game because of a personal commitment, they can notify us to secure a refund.

 

However, this would have a knock-on effect on their priority status for future cup games during the season.

 

All of this goes hand in hand with our loyalty scheme. We have always given season ticket holders the first opportunity to buy tickets for opening round games. However, as any competition advances, we try to reward people in general who have attended the most number of cup matches.

 

We will attempt to give people their season ticket seat because we know most prefer to sit in the same place. However, this may not always be possible, especially when it comes to Europe. This is because of the allocation we are committed to provide to UEFA.
