Another one in ten (Smicer/Berger), who generally has no final ball.

Ok he had a decent game on saturday, but remember he was up aginst the Weakest Link.

IMO saturday showed, yet again, that we are weak up front, and at left back (where West Ham had most success)

You clearly don't watch much of Yossi Benayoun.

do you think Rafa would buy Benayoun to play up front or left back? if not, what the problem? Rafa wouldn't buy someone and then forget about other positions just to have him in the side..

He was linked before he came to West Ham also and has scored goals while putting in some good performances.

Sorry my points were camouflaged, what I meant to say was, IMO:

 

1. Benayoun isn't good enough to fill the right hand side of midfield specifically, or anywhere else in the team.

 

2. Ginger is not good enough at left back (he made Benayoun look good)

 

3. Crouch and Morientes don't score anough goals

Don't want to come across as negative and all that but Riise had another shocker, seems to have lost all of the little pace he had and his stamina is out of the window.

 

I know he is part of our best back 5 but thats mainly thanks to Traore and Warnock being more s****.

Rafa isnt the typeof manager to sign a player based on 1 performance. IF we are interested in him (which is debatable) it will be based on him being watched plenty of times.

If Garcia leaves us this summer. Youssi Benayoun is very similar kind of player. Would be nice to get him if Garcia leaves us. Joaquin + Benayoun in summer 2006.....

I would be happy to see Benayoun come here. I've been impressed by him all year whenever i've seen westham play and in the final he was just phenomenal! He has to be one of the classiest dribblers im the prem- the way he shifts the ball and places shots with power is incredibles sometimes.

 

Only problem is that I don't see where he would play because he's not really a right winger. But definately worth a shout especially if Luis goes (heaven forbid!). After all we do need a new Josser to crash trophy podiums!
