Alan Smith actually made a good point before the game which I noticed last season that he looks like he needs a run of games before you see the best of him leading upto the city game last year he showed signs of it then scored a couple and got injured again, returned for the Spurs game and was awful again. This season he's not played enough consistently only way we are going to see if he's good enough Is playing him every game, has to play against Brighton.
