  1. So we were/are prepared to spend more on Sarr than Mbaye.
  2. He’s probably only being mentioned as a potential replacement for Mac Allister if he goes to City. I think we will probably sign another winger but unfortunately think it will be Sarr.
  3. I don’t like the idea of selling anyone to City.
  4. Just seen his names in a few articles. Perhaps I should have said I hadn’t heard of him until I came across said articles example https://www.thisisanfield.com/2026/08/6-right-wing-alternatives-liverpool-yankuba-minteh/
  5. I’ve heard some rumours of William Gomes at Porto. Never seen him play or even heard of him so no idea if he’s any good or not.
  6. I hope so but that Delaney journo is still saying we want him.
  7. I agree we will I’m not particularly a fan of Minteh but I’d rather we overpay on him than Sarr.
  8. Honestly I wouldn't, not because he’s actually worth nothing I just don’t think he improves us and signing him at 28 and giving him a 4/5 year contract would be mad. I’d rather play Szoboszlai there and try for Rayan in January.
  9. To be honest I wouldn’t even take Sarr on a free transfer. So yes, I want another winger but don’t see any point signing one that doesn’t improve us.
  10. That is true but there are levels of disappointment the thought of Frimpong and Sarr on the right side of the team fills me with dread. It’s what id expect to see at Nottingham Forest.
  11. Not even confident we will sign Barcola tbh.
  12. Romano has confirmed it’s a no go as well. Aaaaaand relax. Now time to dread who is number 183 on the list of targets.
  13. ] Breaking: Crystal Palace have rebuffed an initial approach from Liverpool for Ismaila Sarr. Liverpool discussed a move for Sarr, 28, as their search for a right-sided winger continues and the Palace attacker was identified as a player of interest until it became clear his current club were not willing to sell. 14. We don’t actually have to sign anyone. Wait until January and go big on Rayan. We were prepared to wait until November anyway for Minteh.
  15. £50 million rejected lol.
  16. This is like the Endo signing last minute panic, just buy anyone. I’d rather we play Frimpong on the right wing that’s how much I don’t want this transfer to go through.
  17. 28 year old Luis Diaz can’t get a new contract but £50 million for 28 year old Sarr no problem.
  18. I don’t particularly rate Minteh but I’d rather spend £80 million on him than £50million on Sarr.
  19. He’s the type of player that Spurs sign.
  20. Meh. Neither are good enough.
  21. For me it’s more about balance. We’ve got several wingers who prefer playing on the left cutting in on the right. I’ve never seen Mbaye play particularly, I’m more concerned if he does sign how comfortable he will be playing out there and being first choice as an 18 year old kid. I’ve already said Ngumoha sucks out there and don’t think Munoz is suited to it either.
  22. Just realised Mbaye is right footed as well.
  23. I’d be fine with him coming in as a backup right winger, given his age and experience but coming in to be first choice would be ridiculous I don’t want Munoz or Rio starting in that position.
  24. If it was a case of an either or I’d rather we sign someone like Lamine Camara than a winger who won’t be good enough.
  25. Yep we’d literally have no one. Best solution is Szoboszlai
