I think we're being fed a lot of misinformation, one way or another, in order to make the bid look shabby. The bottom line is that Broughton will find out if he's the whether he's the real deal, with substantial backing for the future, or if he's just another publicity seeking Huangker. I can't see it being publicity seeking, because he'll be ridiculed for it. With that said, with every piece of information, and counter information, that I read, I just feel that the 'richest, most powerful club' stuff we were hearing is quite a way off. If I had to guess, and it is just a guess, I'd say that it's just a Huang fronted consortium of semi-rich guys hoping to make a profit by getting the club on the cheap. Ah, I don't know. The waiting is a killer.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned, but last season they predicted us to be first. If they're as wrong as they were last time we'll either be champs or fighting relegation.

My problem is that I've just passed that stage and I'm becoming blasé about it. After last season, I was expecting something decent. This is just a f***ing nightmare. I think we'll win it today, but that doesn't really cover up the massive flaws - even with Gerrard and Torres on the pitch.

He's superb, or was in Italy. Impossible to say how good he is going to be for us in this league.

One of the worst clichés in football. He was a poor defender, about 3 years ago. He has steadily improved, especially under the guidance of Tony Adams and Harry Redknapp. Saved us yesterday, too.

Depends on how much football you watch, what country you live in, the teams you support and what digital television equipment you get. But, yeah, for most fans they won't have seen much of him. I've only seen dribs and drabs and I'm a football junkie. Agree. Similarly, anybody ruling out the possibility that he will have a far greater impact on our attacking play than Alonso is also mentalist. But nobody has done either thing, so lets not get ahead of ourselves.

I don't think many people doubt Aquilani's talent. Chelsea and Arsenal had both previously been in for him. The problem people have is that he has been injured and unable to put himself on the map. Alonso is one of the best, but being at Liverpool made him that way.
