    The thing that I find odd with the assessment of the players in the top right being the 'good ones' is that if it was expected, surely it's not that impressive? If the xG, xA were really small but the actuals were high, isn't that a better indicator that they are a high performer?

    I think the suggestion is that talks are constructive between ourselves and the player, but Nice are less willing to negotiate. I think that 1 looks like it'll get done though. Can't imagine we'd go too far down the line with the player without some confidence we could get the club over the line

    Not that we should particularly care what's happening over there, there's no way you can look at what the Glazers have done and think they're not crap owners. Yes they've allowed money to be invested in the squad (money generated by the club so not charity), but it's there crap commercial and footballing appointments that have led to all that money being wasted on dross. Our appointments on and off the field look to have been good, but without the investment. Neither situation is a desirable 1.
