Nobody who ever saw Kennedy play would say that. The man oozed class and had a guile that Kuyt does not posses. The comparison is just not there. To win the league our RW has to score 17 goals? Search the world and you'll only find one player capable of that. He's valued at 75million too.

The most gifted player I ever saw in a reds shirt. A fantastic dribbler and a football brain rarely seen on wingers. Acted like a Liverpool player too.

And we have another winner. Totally agree particularly with the second last paragraph. There is nobody on this site who really believes Barry is a better player than Alonso yet quite a few are simply nodding along with the manager.

Not one of you have included Hyypia in your first teams despite him being our best defender (again) last season , why is that?

His productivity along with his industrious nature surely make him one of the top players in his position. Not denying the likes of Ribery and Ronaldo are a considerable distance infront of him but his last 16 competitive starts have produced 9 assists and 3 goals thats ontop of the fantastic defensive work he does. I really think this places him amongst the top 10 in his position. And don't ban Kaizer. He somehow annoys people without actually insulting them, it's remarkable.

Love Keegan. He's a bit off but he's genuine and quite harmless. Was my first footballing hero.

Not better than either of his league hat-trick surely? Honary mentions to Reina at ot , Hyypia in the merseyside derby and quite a few Mascherano performances.

Finally everyone has come round to my way of thinking. I'm going to go a bit further and say Kuyt is one of the best RW/right sided forwards in the world. His industry and productivity are not matched anywhere in the world.

1.Torres vs Reading. Perfect strikers display , not seen as good a performance since Ronaldo scored his hat-trick at old Trafford. His third goal was so brilliantly taken too. 2. Gerrard vs Newcastle. Unplayable. Had a massive hand in two goals (the Babel one was our best team goal of the season) and his free-kick was awesome. 3. Mascherano vs Inter (h). His best performance of the season and he carried Lucas too against some of the very top midfielders in the game. 4. Alonso vs Chelsea. Sublime , a footballing clinic. 5. Babel vs bolton. Not completly sold on him yet but its this type of display that makes me think he could be a very good player. Was very good that day.

You're not alone or wrong. Can't say I'm pleased with the decision. Will be watching Juventus a lot next season , Xabi is some player.

Was underwhelmed by the turnout. SOS now need to keep the momentum they've gained from today and hopefully arrange something before July. How many of you would have reservations if Sos became more millitant?

I'd be furious with Ronaldo if I were you above manc. You've invested so much time and money into the boy and defended him when everyone was against him , just for him to f*** you off two years later. A bit like Harry Kewell with us except Ronaldo's not a fat clown. When Ronaldo goes is it back to singing sbout us all game?

Would agree with that. He's become a much more refined player and has really grown into the DM role with his sense of anticipation and brilliant positioning. Unfortunately , if Xabi does not spray multiple 60 yard passes and deliver through ball after through ball , people come to the conclusion he's had a shocker. Even if he's - as has frequently been the case- covered more than ground than everyone and barely misplaced two passes all game. I can only assume it's because they know he's capable of it and in a team where very few of our players are that technically gifted want to see it more often. Jimmylibel has been spot on in this thread about 10 times.

Agenda driven? I guarantee all the lads who pointed it out are very anti-Hicks and are very much in favour of the SOS concept however would SOS slate Carragher or Gerrard in one of their statements? No , so they should not do it to a new lad who its unlikely they've seen play.
