Or, we could have kept Rafa, and then all this discussion would have been obsolete ... I prefer my version, to be honest ...
-
Well, I am more willing to wait on Guardiola ... He is available this summer on the free, you know ?

How long before NESV can be expected to act?
Macedonian_Red replied to SkippyjonJones's topic in Liverpool FC
Bu that is exactly the point of this debate ... FSG are not sitting around and doing nothing ... They have already appointed a new Director of Football ... They are about to appoint a new CEO ... FFS, they might be waiting for Guardiola's positive answer, as far as we know ... -
Well, now that Pardew has got a job, we could still get Curbishley, I guess ...

The job of the LFC manager is the most difficult one in the world ... There is 5% chance that you will become a God, and 95% chance that it would ruin your health permanently ... -
For all that we know, we might have finalized a deal for a better player than Afellay already ...

What makes you think that any established manager (apart from Kenny, obviously) would accept a 6-month contract at LFC ? -

I can understand the impatience, as I am also frustrated by our away results, but just because Dalglish, Bielsa and Rijkaard are available, it doesn't means that they are the right solution ... I would certainly accept Kenny, because of his status at our club, but another rushed decision on the manager (like in the summer) could bring some devastating long-term consequences ... -
I don't think that any type of a phone-in could influence FSG's decision on the manager ... Now, if the match going fans start to boo Roy, that it is a completely different matter ...
-
The English press will always support Roy, in the same way it was always slating Rafa ... And to be honest, I don't think that we need another round of ''crisis'' hysteria around LFC ...

FSG will act in June ... That is the time when we could actually get a young, ambitious and talented manager, without paying huge amounts of money ... In mid-season, it is always difficult to get a quality manager ... -
Of course we do need a new CEO in order to appoint the new manager ... Do you honestly believe that Henry and Werner have enough footballing knowledge to make the right managerial appointment ?
-
Personally, I don't give a s*** if you call it a ''garbage'' or anything else, but I would certainly wait for the new CEO to be appointed, before we go after our new manager ... Especially if the new CEO is actually David Dein, as many rumors would suggest ...
-
No need for that sort of talk ... Roy is obviously not goof enough to be the LFC manager, and he will be gone in June ... We are not a Mickey Mouse club, and these issues have always been resolved in a certain way at LFC ... At this moment of time, it is much more important who will be our next CEO (to be appointed in January), as he will have a huge influence on the choice who will be our next ''coach'' ...

Nonsense ... The Fenway Sports Group (they are no longer NESV) have a proven track record of investing in quality (and expensive) player personnel ... In fact, the Boston Red Sox have just signed the best (and most expensive) free agent under the nose of the New York Yankees ... However, it would be stupid to expect the they will start splashing a huge cash at LFC, just two months after their arrival ... So far, they have been doing the right steps ... Appointing a young and ambitious Director of Football, someone that has already taken away Roy's competences in the transfer department ... The next step will be the appointment of a competent CEO (expected to be done in January), and some of the names we are being linked with for the job are really impressive ... The next logical step will be an appointment of a competent, young, ambitious and talented manager in June, when it is actually much easier to get one ... When all the pieces are at place, we could expect for the re-building process to start in the summer ... Of course, at least a couple of players would probably be added in January, to cover our lack of depth at certain positions, but even those player will be targeted by Comolli (not Hodgson) and will probably be long-term projects for LFC ...

Larsson - Blues future unclear Midfielder still awaiting more talks over new contract By Elliot Ball Last updated: 12th December 2010 Birmingham City midfielder Sebastian Larsson admits his future at the club is still up in the air. The 25-year-old winger has forced his way into the Sweden set-up this year with a string of impressive performances at St Andrews, including scoring a penalty in Blues' Carling Cup triumph over Aston Villa. But the former Arsenal trainee has yet to agree a new deal in the Midlands with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season. And Larsson has warned Birmingham fans that there are no guarantees that he will stay at the club next summer. Larsson, who has been linked with Liverpool and Everton, confessed: "By no means am I not signing, but I couldn't promise anyone that I will sign either. "I am just being honest about the situation. "My contract is running out, we have not agreed anything. We'll keep working hard, and I'll see what happens. "I would like more talks, but at the moment I don't know if any dates are planned." That means that boss Alex McLeish risks losing one of his brightest stars for nothing, and he will want Birmingham's Chinese owners to up their offer to keep Larsson. But the player insists it is not only money that will decide his future, adding: "I'd like to stay if we can find an agreement where everybody is happy. This season I am enjoying my football more than ever and the manager has been a big help to me. "I am 25 and of course my next contract is a big one for me. It's an important part of my career. I am just being honest. "It is not just financial, it is a lot to do with where the club wants to go, and if we can match each other. "You just want to know the club is going forward. I've no idea how much the owners want to spend. For me you just want to be as successful as you can." http://www.skysports...6568620,00.html

Comolli will never openly undermine the manager ... Read this, and tell me what you think about it ... 4th Dec 2010 http://www.telegraph...-Liverpool.html 9th Dec 2010 http://www.liverpool...eal-and-rumours It is clear that Roy is still being consulted on the matter (as any manager would be), but he is very far from having the final say ...
-
Roy is no longer in charge of transfers at LFC ...
-
I hope you realize that we have already spent £9 million this year on changing managers ... If FSG are willing to invest, they are welcomed to invest in the squad ... We will get our new quality ambitious manager in June ... Until then, I have no problem with Kenny being the caretaker ...
-
I basically agree with you, but just out of curiosity, how many quality ambitious managers are actually available at this point of the season ?
-
Nah, our home form guarantees that we will end the season in the top half of the table ... We might even miraculously end up in the Europa League places ...
-
Unfortunately, it seems that he will be in charge until June, so people better start looking for more positives ...
-
Not really ... We need 5-6 players in order to lift our squad to the level of challenging again ... You can't expect from the new manager to incorporate so many players to the squad in the summer ... A couple of good players in January, combined with another 3-4 in the summer, and the transition will go nice ...

I want this crazy f***** to be our next manager ...
