  2. I'll be f***ing gutted if Agger goes.
  3. That brochure remains hilarious, even about three years later.
  4. It must be unique insight. Everyone else can see what I meant. Why you're still barking up this tree is beyond me.
  5. No, it's not. You should stop looking for things that aren't there.
  6. I wasn't talking about Rodgers whatsoever. I was just disagreeing with the idea that managers should always be given time. There's no comment or inference whatsoever about Rodgers.
  7. You don't always. It was clear that Hodgson should have been sacked by October last year. That c*** serves as a reminder that "giving the manager time" is something you just shouldn't do when it's not working.
  8. What's the benefit to this sort of quote, though? The only benefit for him is that it gets him in with the journalists because he's giving them titbits. As a club, basically saying you're willing to sell one of your best players if you get a proper offer does us absolutely no f***ing good whatsoever.
  9. He does seem to be remarkably amateur with transfer stuff press-wise. I suppose it's alright at Swansea where you're basically waiting for someone to offer a big fee for one of your good players, but I'd like to think he recognises that, as a club, we expect not to be selling our best players rather than considering it an inevitability. Just deadbat the question away. "He's very happy here and he has quality." What on earth is he doing adding fuel to the fire?
  10. Wayne's about as good a source as we have and he's saying the money isn't there. Ultimately it's a concern. We've sold "big" players over the last three years, banked £100M and blown pretty much all of it on some absolute s**** - Suarez the big exception. I can't say I trust our transfer dealings to "come right" in the closing weeks.
  11. Nor I think would anyone who had a "proper" track record. Because they leave next year and we're back to square one. Selling a striker to fund a move for a midfielder is insane. This would be fine if that striker was replaced by Borini, but whenever that would see Bellamy, Maxi and Kuyt all leave without being replaced and you really have to wonder what the end game is for this window.
  12. Are we actually that far up s*** creek?
  13. Indeed. Someone like Rafa or van Gaal would have been all over them for more money/power/whatever to try and advance the team. Will Rodgers be prepared to do that given its his first "big" job?
  14. I do this on FM, but only whenever I have a batch of outstanding young players coming back from loan ready to step in. Then I'd take the £100M+ earned from selling everyone and buy the two best players in my direct opposition's team. It was foolproof. Eight CL titles in eleven years, you know. They named the new stadium after me. It's distressing to see this when I know I could just stick a few attributes into a search engine and find the next Steven Gerrard.
  15. How f***ing depressing.
  16. Which would be fine if we wanted rid of him and he didn't want to go. If he wants to go, we should be telling him that he leaves without any supplementing of his salary and with no payoff. Why on earth would we agree to pay someone who wants to leave a wedge every week just to maintain his current salary?
  17. If Rodgers genuinely didn't rate Agger I'd consider it grounds for immediate dismissal under the "he actually hasn't got a clue" clause. It's obviously b******s, like. Saw your post on Twitter there about Agger "very likely" to go. I'm seriously f***ing concerned here. We're selling players left, right and centre and the few players we want to sign we're overpaying significantly for based on their track record. We also have a manager who, whilst he has the right ideas, has no discernible track record to speak of. I think we're in bother, really.
  18. I'm not optimistic at the minute. I just can't see it coming together in time.
  19. Absolute madness that we'd agree to pay money to someone who wants to leave. What the f*** are we at?
  20. Need a big attacking signing here.
  21. I'd be concerned if we placed Agger with Williams. We signed players from mid-table clubs last summer and it didn't work overly well.
  22. Don't make me post the spreadsheet lads.
  23. That would be quite difficult considering he's already signed for Fenerbahce.
  24. Make it stop.
