  1. Getting rid of Adam and Cole would be excellent.
  2. I'd take Adam Johnson. c*** though he is, he'll actually run at players and show a bit of arrogance on the ball. It's better than Stewart "would be an accountant if he wasn't a footballer" Downing.
  3. It's a squad without proper depth, without the right talent in the right areas, with players who were signed with big fees who have flopped. It's overseen by a manager with one season of Premier League experience and an ownership structure which, with the best will in the world, seems to be unsure of what it wants to do. There are no "footballing people" above Rodgers in the structure. We binned off "the structure" for Rodgers. To say our eggs are entirely in the Rodgers basket is a big understatement. It's a bit grim.
  4. I hope not.
  5. I'd be happy to swap Downing for Dempsey. I just want him gone, the f***ing chancer. Agree with psl about the formation for City. We won't do it though. Rodgers' ideals are admirable, but we are where we are with the squad and he has to be flexible. Given who is available, Carroll must play in place of Downing.
  6. Carroll was hugely overpriced but has at least contributed, however infrequently. He's also been mismanaged, in my view. Downing has been "first choice" almost since the moment of his arrival and repaid us with no goals, no assists and no f***ing conviction for a whole season. I'd class him as a worse signing than Carroll, because at least with the latter we can con ourselves by referring to his age and saying "he can improve". Downing's about 28 and is good as he's going to get. What a sobering thought that is. I'm aware I sound a bit angry here, but Stewart Downing is pocketing tens of thousands of pounds a week to run around a bit and contribute absolutely f*** all for the team.
  7. I wouldn't have before yesterday, but watching Stewart "you what?" Downing prance about on the touchline and show absolutely no conviction whatever, I'd go to Fulham with Charlie Adam and £3M and I'd put Dempsey on the right of the attack and tell him to score us some f***ing goals. We can't have a front three where one of them does f*** all. I'd sell Downing for about £8M as well, but I suspect it's a bit late in the day.
  8. Downing is as weak willed as anyone I've ever seen. He's just atrocious. Twenty f***ing million.
  9. The first is a dive. The second is a trip.
  10. On a broader level I agree that some of the decisions made in our games are weird. But for that specific decision I can't really quibble. I have more of a problem with the first one where, to me, it looked like Agger didn't touch him and he took a dive. I didn't see it clearly from the angles my stream was showing though, so I await correction.
  11. If it had been Olsson on Suarez and it hadn't been given we'd be going mental. It was a penalty.
  12. Allen/Gerrard as midfield two just won't work. It left us open to the counter attack. I agree Lucas might have struggled, but he's had a full pre-season. It's not as if he's come back in the middle of the year.
  13. Reina Allen ---
  14. Taking off Lucas to chase the game left us exposed and gave WBA free reign to attack a defence that was creaking. That Lucas came off for Joe Cole makes it a doubly poor decision. He can't help Agger getting sent off or Skrtel tripping someone like a pleb, but after those setbacks we didn't even look like doing anything and instead caved in.
  15. That wasn't acceptable on any level. It just wasn't. Dire.
  16. Nuri Sahin hurriedly trying to cancel his flight to John Lennon after this.
  17. Not that I go in for drama, but this really isn't a great start here. We've had Agger sent off, but our defence is all over the show. What is going on here? We've taken more hammerings than is acceptable away from home over the last couple of years. Our players aren't that bad.
  18. That's wounded me.
  19. I'd be lying if I pretended to know how to fix it.
  20. Would anyone be able to help this guy out?
  21. If one wished to watch this, how would one go about doing it? Not me, obviously.

    Kenny

Kenny was reasonable with the media when the questions and tone were reasonable and the person asking the questions wasn't trying to be a c***. The likes of Andy Burton were derided because they're know nothing c**** who wanted to create controversy. He was always perfectly decent to the ones at the Beeb. I don't really think you can say he "had a problem with the media". He had a problem with the c**** who worked at the media because he didn't do a Redknapp and cosy up to them to secure favourable coverage. If it had been Kenny who had overseen the collapse in the final third of the season at Spurs you'd have had more than one or two vaguely questioning articles which stopped short of outright criticism and harked back to "two points from eight games" and "that glorious night at the San Siro".
  23. If we do get Sahin, adding another forward of repute and shifting Adam/Spearing would represent a very good summer in the circumstances. Although I thought around this time last year that we'd had a good summer and it turned to s*** very quickly, so who knows.
  24. Who is he?
  25. He's lightning. We're never signing him though.
