Havertz would have been a good replacement for Bobby. Holds the ball up, can hold people off, gets assist and scores the odd one! Arsenal and Chelsea used him up front in his own FFS, he needs someone to play too.

Perhaps the defeat will be like a reset and we wake up and start to play again. Maybe by playing badly and getting the points , in the PL, has papered over some of the issues. At the moment we look as fragile in defence and midfield as we did under Klopps last few years. The talk of control has taken a walk, and we look like Lovren and Moreno are back playing! We need to start the game against West Ham with pace and aggression, if we mess around at the back, at walking pace it merely invites the team to attack us and TBF we aren't that good at defending presently. In the last month ( since the first PSG game), how many of our players has played well? Who is this player and why the hell are we still playing the same ones out of form.

Despite us being in a good position,I'm not fussed who leaves this summer, not even VVD or Salah! Both defence and attack need a huge revamp, and I'm sort of excited about seeing new players show up and I really don't like the idea of watching past heroes fade as I watch them. Maybe it's the lack of rotation but every season there's a point where Salah doesn't contribute for a while and Virgil looks arrogant to the point where it affects his game. Maybe the two of them need dropped every March, or perhaps we actually used the squad better. If we win the league this year, maybe it's time to rip the entire defence and front line apart and start afresh.
