  1. They went to Souness first for reaction after the game and he said that the difference between the teams is that Arsenal don't have enough Men in their team and when their backs were to the wall they didn't do what was required. Brady started his hissy fit about how that was disrespectful to the Arsenal players and how the non penalty changed the game. Five minutes later he contradicted himself and agreed with Souness that they need some mentally tougher players. Usually whacky performance by Brady.
  2. He said it wasn't a penalty and the Kuyt challenge in the first leg was a stonewall penalty. Dunphy said that Wenger on the sideline for the game on Saturday was like a Monty Python sketch, specifically John Cleese in a sketch and proceeded to show a clip that made Wenger look a tad mental.
  3. "If I had known they were going to show that clip of Wenger I wouldn't have come on the show tonight" - Brady throwing his toys out of the pram.
  4. Eamon Dunphy has just said that Arsene Wenger is like a Monty Python sketch and Brady is going absolutely spare!
  5. Brady vs Souness in the RTE studio was class. Needless to say Souness won.
  6. They signed some of Shels better players during the fire sale.
  7. Piatti is excellent in Football Manager. I signed him for Cork City and he scores goals for fun playing off the front player. The downside to the signing is that the fans aren't impressed if the team don't win each game by at least three goals.
  8. If the ref is accepting requests, I'd like to see a repeat of the penalty we conceded some years ago against Man Utd. The ball was crossed in to box from a corner and Paul Scholes/Nicky Butt was being marked by Jason McAteer. As the ball came across the player caught McAteer's arm just above the elbow and shoved his arm in the air, the ball connected with the outstretched arm and Man Utd were awarded a penalty. The Liverpool players protested to no avail. Now if we could work on such a set piece and use Fabregas as the mannequin with the arm in the air it would be priceless. Imagine the head on the f*cker afterwards. He'd probably storm off the pitch in protest and Wenger's head would explode in the post match interview.
  9. "Frojdfeldt Stamford Bridge" - What kind of name is that for a referee? Reckon he has some dodgy link to Chelsea?
  10. Funny how the are holding up their two victories against Jerzy Dudek as testimony to what they are capable of doing at Anfield and ignore the 4-1 demolition at the hands of Crouch.
  11. Crouch would be more effective from the bench on Tuesday.
  12. It's great to see such a composed player coming through from the reserves. Too bad he's not eligible to play on Tuesday - himself and Mascherano would stop the Arsenal midfield dead, Fabregas wouldn't know where to turn to whine.
  13. The likes of Mascherano was still charging around the pitch at the end of the game as though the match had only begun and he'll be fresh for the game on Tuesday which is bad news for Fabregas.
  14. Because if the powers that be at the club have any sense they will threathen the f*ckers with legal action and if the FA don't back down they can kiss goodbye to any hopes of hosting a major championships in their lifetime because FIFA will go mental with them for allowing such a thing go to court.
  15. In response to a question asked in the blog Balague replied saying the player is English.
  16. I've listened to the podcast and according to Balague, Rafa is looking at full backs, a central midfielder if Alonso goes, and wingers. Players have to be sold in order to buy and the senior player is a senior player not just a player for the first eleven. Joe Cole is 26/27 and would be considered a senior player Fat Fw*** is 29/30 and would definitely be considered a senior player.
  17. Kuyt pulled Hleb's left elbow to the left and moved to the right. Hleb's reaction was to crumple to his right. In my opinion Hleb was fouled but his reaction influenced the referee's decision.
  18. Bentley/Johnson would not be considered a senior player.
  19. Carragher has performed such a move several times, he's obviously perfected it now.
  20. But can he speak Catalan?

  22. A minor point: February 3, 2007 -> March 31, 2008 is closer to 14 months than 12 months. And Rafa's statement for those that have forgotten it:
