  11. Don't really mind him to be honest. Not the funniest fella on the box but certainly not the worst either.

  15. Some very good points in the original post but I disagree that Rafa was wrong to speak out after the final. That, IMO, was three years of frustration with Parry spilling out and he knew that by making the point clear publically that it would force the owners, quite rightly IMO, to step up to the plate and show they mean business. In fairness to G&H, it seems that they have responded positively to it and look like they'll back him. What happens remains to be seen but if it brings us two world class signings that help us to the league or at least a sustained challenge then the rant will go down as one of the defining moments of his tenure at Liverpool.
  16. Good thread. I said to a mate a while back if Parry left the club tomorrow, what would his legacy to Liverpool be? To put it into context, I said that although Kenyon jumped ship to go to Chelsea, he left United in a more than healthy state; no debt, one of the best stadiums in Europe and a good squad. Dein, although not quite on the similar scale, has walked away from Arsenal leaving them with Wenger who he personally brought to the club, a fair few trophies and one of the best young squads around. Whilst Parry played a part in the recruitment of Benitez, he can't take the full credit as Rafa knew that one) we were looking for a manager and two) his agent had been in touch to see what the score was. Dein, by contrast, plucked Wenger from the obscurity of Japan. However, the whole point is moot; Foster Gillette is taking over the day to day running of the club next season.

  18. I f*cking hate that. It's similar to when people say I incentivised him. Incentive isn't a verb, FFS. Saying that though, it's in the f*cking dictionary now as is (couldn't believe this when I heard it) bootylicious
  19. In fairness, Wazza is actually his nickname and has been for a while but that shouldn't get in the way of a good slating
  20. Lamps and JT get on my f*cking t*ts. Actually that sentence works on a number of levels

  23. There was some right ted giving it loads outside the ground when all the pushing was going on and for some reason had decided that it was OOTs who were the problem. His crowd control techniques were along the lines of "Stop pushing you Irish c*nt, it's always your lot causing grief. Why don't you go and blow someone up?" and "Tell those Norwegian c*nts to f*cking calm down as well. They're like the Cockneys - think they f*cking know it all". Doubtless feeling pleased with himself, he turned to me and said, "Them f*cking OOTs do my head in, know what I mean?". "Actually, I'm from the Wirral" I replied. Brilliantly he then said, "Nice one, me too. I'm from Eastham". I nearly wet myself laughing. The t*t
  24. Brilliant shout. The third goal of his hat trick was one of the most delicate chips I've ever seen especially considering Spink was about two feet in front of him and he still managed to lob it over him. Also, Rushie scoring five against Luton in '83 - the last Liverpool player to score five in a league game? That was the first game I went to where I realised that he wasn't like the other strikers out there, he was that bit better than all of them. I might be wrong but I'm certain that the fourth or fifth goal was a bit of a Rush rarity - he spanked it in from about twenty yards or so.
  25. Another one is Steve Nicol against Newcastle in '87 - surely the only full back in recent memory to score a hat trick?
