we were going backwards almost from the get go. its very easy for you to dismiss the fact he had a season and a half to implement his tactics. his own players as you say,are some of the worst transfers this club ever made,for top money. why give him another season when so many things are not looking like he can resolve them? week after week the tactics didnt work,players selection was qustionable, in game managemet not good enough. people say he needed time to get things right, but the more time passed the more it looked like he didnt know how. what makes you think next season would have been any better,not to mention a lot better?

we were poor since then. we were far from impressing since about april the season before, except for the odd game.

we were poor at the very least since january. and we werent very good since before that. we could barely score the entire season. our home form is unbelievable. not to mention how poor our transfer dealings were. if his name wasnt Kenny Dalglish, no one would have any problams with his sacking.

Kenny needed to be dismissed.we were poor for too long under him. it is very understandable why he was let go. if the replacement will be good is a different matter..

what we are now,is a club underachieving (sp) for 20 years, except for one (unbelievable) european cup run. every now and then winning the league cup or fa cup is nice, but we want the league,and we are nowhere near it. was talking to a friend monthes ago,we both thought the club needs a complete overhaul. days later comoli was sacked and they sacked almost everyone else also. Im actually glad with their actions (although im worried about the replacements) and think its what this club needs,even if its not what the fans want.

on paper he may be the best option, but I really would like us to appoint someone who plays attacking football.

Other then youth, I think all the managers linked are known for playing attacking football. Capello is far from that.
