I've always had a ticket and nobody's checked if I'm a raving idiot with a weak bladder and an eating disorder. Does anyone else get asked? Every CL game is the same. I always get my ST seat but around me are muppets. Moan, moan, moan. Ringing their mates all through the match. Arriving late and leaving early. Up and down to the bog or for food every five minutes. Clowns. Last night topped it all though. There were about 20 lads from Belfast. They had-I kid you not-Liverpool scarves half and half with Red Hand of Ulster scarves. WTF? I'd love to know the thought process that arrives at that conclusion. They were absolute cavemen. Wouldn't sit down (a bloke with his kid was getting annoyed with one of them) and did nothing but slag the entire team off. Two lads who are STH's were in their normal seats got a bit heated with them, it nearly went off. Plod and stewards nowhere. Some only arrived at half-time and they all left as soon as Benfica scored the second. Their behaviour was an absolute disgrace. Why does the Club waste tickets on the likes of these morons?

Sorry, he's average. He's protected by two or even three midfielders in the Premiership and rarely exposed. In continental games or for Ingerlund where the opponents create space around him he gets caught out. Ronaldinho is a class above, agreed, but Terry is a 1950's throwback. And that's not just today, I've said it for ages. And Carvalho is sheeite.

I have always said that John Terry is the new Terry Butcher. I've been telling anyone who will listen that he's a liability and that against genuine quality he's found wanting. Last night isn't the first time for him either. Not that I care, but mark my words: Ingerlund won't win the World Cup and he will be at fault (although the media will blame the nearest Liverpool player). You don't become "world class" just because you know the words to the national anthem and you're prepared to throw yourself into tackles. The foreign media don't see Chelsea in the same light as the idiots here. They are a mundane team who are flat track bullies. Their Manager believes too much of the sycophantic rambling that he's heard but his tactics consist of overpaying for average players, moaning about everything and using an alehouse centre half up front in the last ten minutes when all else has failed. No class, no dignity, no history. Love it.

I went to the JJB last night on a bit of a corporate jolly. A good mate of mine is a Manc but he's a decent lad (goes to all homes and some aways) so I got the tickets and he paid for it all. We were in the West Stand (on the right of the away fans) close to the Mancs. The minute's silence started well and some Mancs had pictures, presumably of the soldier for whom the silence was being held, and held them up. The lad was from Manchester and had a connection with Wigan. He had been killed in Iraq. The silence was broken by a few Mancs. I couldn't hear what they were singing but it wasn't "Murderers". The ground wasn't full so despite their arrogant song that Wigan fans had "Only come to see United" not as many came as when the ground record attendance was set a few weeks ago against the European Champions. There were hardly any Mancs mixed in, or if there were they kept quiet. Their songs were pathetic. Songs about us ("Murderers" got an airing) City and Leeds. I think they sang something about Chelsea as well but I couldn't make it out. When they equalised they all burst into that Nationwide-style song that people like Boro sing. They also sang about Best, Cantona and Keane: very forward-looking. They also sang that they had a side of their ground that's bigger than the JJB. Big deal. And they sing they won it two times without killing anyone. Idiots. After the match we went for a pint and there were two of them from Belfast who reckoned they go everywhere. These beauts had left at half time because the Mancs were playing so poorly! I honestly couldn't think of what to say to them so I followed my instincts and ignored them. All in all they were like a visiting Nationwide set of fans, but at least I could hear them unlike in the Cup a couple of weeks ago. Gutted about the result. Wigan deserved a point at least but they were a bit naive when they were in front.

No Olympics for me mate, more likely to end up on You've Been Framed. Good point about Harry Hill.

That Robben's a twunt. He should have gone with Del Horno for the two-footed lunge at Messi. Why doesn't Robson just smack Maurinho and give us all a laugh.

It's not that bad. Been out on the sledge in the snow this morning, just going to have some dinner. I'll be out when Stictly Come X Factor On Ice or whatever is on and when I get back my tea will be ready (or it better be). Not a bad kick-off time TBH.

Thanks for that.

Some Manc told me today that King Kenny left at half time and it's "common knowledge". Not to me it isn't. Anyone know if it's true?

He would be perfect in the system Rafa uses. I would gladly be the world's biggest hypocrite (i.e. he's a cheating horse headed munter today, hero tomorrow) because he's just what we need. Do you reckon they'd let us have Heinze as well? Agents are so powerful these days that if he wanted to come here (and Rafa wanted him) I doubt the Munsters could prevent it.

He's a bit of a cut snake, Mark Wright. What's his problem? Oh, and con he shut?

Max?

That's OK then, I won't bother. Last time I go the jolly boys' route to anywhere. Saved £50 and got in at 3am.

Delays from Madrid apparently. Any news on Birmingham yet? I can't get on the offish. Why are all airports full of shirts other than ours? Did anyone ask at th AGM? Sack Parry is te obvious answer but why do European pygmies like Arsenal have shirts on sale here but the five-times and current European Cup holders have nothing?

Good shout lad. Too many have never braved the Concourse but seem to know it all. Nothing but contempt for all of them. I've only missed one at Old Toilet since 1967 so I know what horrible twunts they are. Don't like to see any player injured but it's not one of ours. Sorry it happened but tomorrow I'll have forgotten.

Even that drunkard couldn't complain about the barsteward love-child of Mike Riley doing exactly what his disgraceful comments leading up to the match insisted happened. Even Riley would have been embarrassed to have given the Munsters everything like Webb did. I used to think he was a decent referee but he was pitifully poor today. And if they had the ball in the second half what did they do with it? They can have no complaints. The better team won.

He said we've won it 13 times between Chelsea's two.

Are you on the Iberia from Heathrow via Madrid? If Will's on it he can buy me that pint.

Has Gerrard become our greatest ever midfielder?
Scally Bob replied to floyd the barber's topic in Liverpool FC
Souness was in my opinion our best-ever midfield player. He was a magnificent leader and intimidated by nobody. He took the captaincy from Phil Thompson and never flinched. And nobody EVER took liberties with any of our players. Essien would still be spitting his teeth out now if Souness had been in our side when he did that to Didi. Roy Keane and Vieira would never evr have got the better of him. People were genuinely scared of him but he had an arrogance and consummate skill. Molby may have been brilliant but he needed McMahon to do his scrapping. Souness could do it all. And in a real team of winners everyone knew who the boss on the field was. He's the best midfield player I've ever seen. Stevie needs to dominate games more, have no opposition friends on the pitch and lead us to the title. He has the ability. -
Riise is bordering on adequate, no more. If he's been the best LB in the League that's an indictment of how poor the League is. Heinze and Cole missing most of the season would have helped as well. His distribution is Sunday League.

People blame STH's but that's not all there is to it. There are loads of STH's who NEVER go. They "rent" their tickets out or pick their games and just go to a few themsleves. I can't understand it. In 1993 when my eldest was born Mrs. Scally Bob gave up her ST because she wouldn't be going (admittedly you could get one without waiting then) and we never considered keeping it on. So this argument that the Kop is full of STH's is spurious. Most of the seats may be allocated to STH's but they don't always turn up. I wonder why they keep them? If being European Champions doesn't entice you back, what will? And the bone idle STH guaranteed his Cup Final ticket is a thing of the past. Let go you cnuuts. The worst is games where whoppers can get tickets. If you could only go a few times each season would you turn up ten minutes late, spend half the game in the bog/refreshment bar, talk on your mobile to someone watching it at home on TV hoping they'll see you and leave ten minutes early? That's what they do. They don't understand the game and they don't support the team. They should take every season ticket off everyone who isn't the registered holder and sort those on the waiting list. And there needs to be the ability to pay on the gate. The beauts who turn up these days will never be truly loyal supporters. If safe standing or unreserved seats is the answer, I'd back it. I'd also back scrapping idiotic kick-off times. One other point, it wasn't like St. Ettienne every week in the "old days".

Well I played to a decent standard and I've seen a lot of football as well. Yes, the goalkeeper made a decent save. But he shouldn't have been near it. Morientes has mucho goodwill based on his proven class in other leagues but he is not cut out for the Premiership. That miss was a bad one and I repeat that if Robbie had been on the end of it rather than creating it, the ball would have been six inches inside one of the posts. Morientes has no confidence at present but he's humoured more than Cisse who is just not good enough. Unfortunately, for different reasons, they are in the same boat.
