You can't drop Crouch, especially for away games- where he was unbelievably vital last season. He, in my opinion anyway, was the main reason why we improved so greatly away from home last season, compared to the previous year. I'd just rotate between Xabi, Momo, Stevie and even Zenden for a few games. Then play all three (Sissoko, Alonso and Gerrard) in some more difficult games, with Crouch as a lone striker. Alternatively we could play the Chelski style 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation, with Bellamy right wing and Gonzalez on the left wing, if you're that desperate for Bellamy to start.
