If everyone was fit, I’d reckon a ali frimpong, konate, virg, kerkez 2 from szob/mac/grav sitting Wirtz Salah, Isak, eti/gakpo With the full backs providing the width. players unfit, out of form And bedding is an issue. then playing szob at left back, not bringing in Gomez, the pressing being coached out, the passing the ball at the back - all coaching decisions that haven’t worked, or been changed. even Brendan went to a 3 at the back to try something different. We didn’t even try Ramsey at right back. he needs to adapt to the squad he has, quickly, or walk. we need to the see the players wanting to win, and working for it because they believe in the plan. The changes for the most part were enforced. The replacements who came are great players and will be quality. It’s up to the manager to make it work.

Wow we got really bad at football. we don’t look like scoring. Creativity and flair is non existent. And defence a shambles. Passion looks low. other than that…

We needed a left back. Got the best possible available. We needed to replace Trent creativity, we got the best 10 in the world. We needed a new number 9. Got the best in the league. We lost another striker, so got the highest potential striker in Europe. We needed succession planning so got one of the best young keepers in Europe and one of the highest potential center backs. we didn’t add much depth, we increased quality and refreshed. its a lot of change for sure but needs time, but s*** getting real now. I would give Slot until the January ‘break’ - around fa cup 3rd round, especially now not in league cup. I may be out of touch with other clubs and leagues, but I don’t see any high value managers I would trust either though. There isn’t a Klopp or pep out there for example. Whoever we get is likely a ‘project’ too, so chances are they’ll have a settle in time, unlikely to have European pedigree either. i think the next 10 games will be telling. Players will be fit, angry and had enough time to adjust.

The ref thing is ridiculous. if the other 19 clubs were reffed like city we wouldn’t have a referee issue in the league.

I want a performance that cements us ‘back’ first and foremost. That should lead to the right result, but a show up is the main thing.

I think when we don’t concede and pass it to one of our own players we seem to do better. we should do that more.

Early days yet, but Arsenal look far and above the rest of the league. if this performance is our new floor, that’ll be a good season and if Arsenal slip at least we can be there. Puts us in the mix for CL for sure.

Robertson is a fantastic full back. One of the best at his peak. he’s done it all with us and lifted his country. also means he’s probably got fatigue. Giving kerkez minutes early in the season, it gives Robertson an extended recovery. It means Robertson is looking like himself.
