Yeah that absolutely wasn't what I said. The most important thing now about this clusterf*** of a season is getting out of it in the best possible shape. Trying to compete for multiple trophies that we almost certainly can't win seems a bit of a daft use of resources. Sort CL for next season, get shot of this season's problems and be better in 26-27

We'll be playing most of those teams in the league, let's do them over there. Or in the CL. We're not getting anything like that League Cup win under Slot, the rest of this season should be about doing as well as we can so that whoever is in charge next season has a good base to work from. I'd agree with that if I hadn't seen the rest of this season. The main focus unfortunately has to be getting CL football next season, which is a depressing but necessary way of looking at it.

The brutal reality is that the FA Cup is a financial irrelevance compared to getting CL Yeah, it would be nice to win something but league points are way more important.
