I asked the question after a recent game and will ask it again now - what exactly is Gerrards role in this team? It pains me to say it, as he is a legend. But in the cold light f day, taking all the emotion out of it, he s really struggling. Doesn't defend we'll and not an attacking threat. A passenger.

Not really sure what Gerrard adds any more tbh. Lacking in pace and does neither a defensive or attacking role. Squeezing him in the side really. Add to that Sahin is average, joe Allen tidy and no more, and Lucas out, it's no wonder we struggle in the middle.

In isolation, it's a decent performance away from home by a bunch of kids. In terms of this season though, im really tired of watching us. You might as well pick any 10 minute period from a game this season and put it on repeat. We are so predictable and toothless. As a fan, I just want to see chances and goals, and both are few and far between watchingy team at the moment. Pretty depressing really

Has to be said our shape is totally gone and we are getting overrun big style. Be chuffed with a point ATM but can't see it so far

Saying that, how many saves did their keeper have to make. Not many. We are gonna be so far behind the top 6 come Christmas it's scary

We're playing pretty well with 10 men. Downing is really, genuinely f***ing abysmal. I'd even go as far as saying he's deliberately f***ing up in protest of being a 3rd choice player.

Borini's got good movement but poor touch

No offence, chuffed to be level, but borini still managed to miss from 1 yard. Feck me. If coates header hadn't been so good and was one more inch to the right, that goes down as a glaring miss cod he missed the fecking ball!!

Question for you all. When is the last time Pepe 'kept us in the game'. I've always been a big fan of his and it's an honest, genuine question I found myself asking yesterday. We've obviously had many poor results and performances over the last few years so he has had plenty of opportunity to be the last line of defence and put in a MOM performance. Being totally honest, I don't recall any. It's really weird. Average goalies, for mid table and bottom half clubs have the odd inspired performance per season. I can't recall Reina having any in the last 3 years!!
