Definitely and end of season feel but still bitterly dissappointed that we have come to a massive sudden abrupt halt, emergency stop even in the last 2 games. It doesn't matter from a Europa league perspective but very frustrating and annoying that our fantastic form didn't just dip, but disappeared into a great big black f***ing hole! Scoring for fun, wonderful attacking football, pressing all round the pitch almost regardless of who played. Then back to lacklustre schite. Would have been great to take huge confidence into the summer and of course we will be on a high still but just bloody annoying we have done this at the start of kenny's reign. Still, hopefully as many have said, shows the major job we've got ahead of of usthis summer. Little steps and all that so let's scrap talk of the title and get back into the top 4

Tbh, absolutely gutted. A great week, and it was almost always gonna end thus way. The club was buzzing, spurs on their a***, Carroll fit again and last home game. Got to be one of the mist inept performances in the knockout stages, actually, make that THE most inept. Not just cos they are getting battered, but technically and tactically as abysmal defensively as you can get. They are so flat at the back, and midfield don't track runs, that utd simply slot the ball behind any one of their back 4 to a utd runner who is totally free. It's something I wouldn't expect a Sunday league team to do. It's awful, basic, basic stuff. Nothing to do with utd being good unfortunately. Any prem or championship team would be schalke tonight. Truly pathetic

100% agree. Since his flurry of goals he's hardly contributed. Bit of a luxury player IMO as he doesn't contribute defensively so if he isn't doing anything going forward he is a waste. He's not the only poor player today but even worse he has been non-existent. Kuyt, Suarez and Carroll also have to improve. All the other players are doing their defensive duties well

It's a sign of what kenny had done, along with suarez and carroll arrivals that we are confident of winning without gerrard, agger and johnson

We have definitely improved. You have the feeling Carroll or Suarez are gonna score. Spearing and raul seem to have settled. Just need Lucas to up his game now. Defence look solid. So, massively mockered us sorry!! Ps, to counter that mockery I think the ref is due to give them a soft decision to level it up

As well as our painful lack of pace our ballretention from kuyt, raul, spearing and Lucas has been dreadful. A combination which is a recipe for disaster. They want it more and actually can play. Be lucky to come away with a point

Someone mentioned we had too many average players, unfortunately quite a few of our squad aren't even that good. The following players would struggle to get into a mid table team- Ngog, skrtel, Wilson, pouslen, maxi, cole, spearing and carra now with his age. While kuyt probably would, he is an enigma. Meireles has been awful recently Lucas is just hard worker. Only really Johnson, reina and Carroll, gerrard and Suarez are 'very good'. As tonight showed, we've got too many players (I.e nearly all of them without stevie and Suarez, maybe Johnson being the only exception and he's a full back) who rely on others to make things for them. Too many players who only look to others for inspiration and can't make things happen

Agree. Meireles in particular has been gash. Has been poor for a few weeks now since his scoring 'spree' a few weeks back

Spot on post that. Cos they know we have no pace up front they are playing a high line and closing us down and squeezing higher up the pitch. Our severe lack of poise on the ball at the back means skrtel, Wilson and carra, who doesn't need much encouragement, are hitting hopeful balls long. It's only gonna work now if cole and maxi take a chance and play off Carroll out wide and push Glenn behind their fullbacks. s*** or bust now, let's go for it

Wilson and meireles awful so far. Constantly giving away possession. Without stevie and Suarez we can't afford to carry anyone. Got to come out fighting 2nd half got to get the crowd going

Ref is f***ing clueless. As for us, Lack of invention, pace and inspiration. Deffo going out unless we up our game. I don't care what anyone says but our lack of drive without gerrard is glaring
