I agree with the kenny stuff, but even so if at the end of the season we are stil mid table, primarily because we've f***ed up key positions in yet ANOTHER transfer window, I'll be well pissed
-
I'd jova injured? If not, is he on his way I wonder?
-
Sorry but this is crap. The season before that we finished second and were looking tonpush on from the league. Yes we have got shot of G and H and yes kenny being back is great, but we are mid table and have major holes in our squad/team. Accepting mediocrity just cos we've had rough times is hodgson-esque
-
People can argue all they like whether Suarez is worth 18 million or 23 million, but if we totally f*** up yet another transfer window without landing a striker It'll be farcical. Just pay up and buy the f*****, were already £6m up this window already
-
Can't decide if babel now going is good for the Suarez deal or not. Either we are confident of getting another striker soon and letting him go now to use the cash (but then we accepted their bid nearly a week ago and we still haven't got a striker) or the Suarez deal may always have been dependent on babel part ex and we and babel now realise it's off and he's taken second best which is hoffenheim.... Hopefully it'll trigger progress with Suarez
-
Lmao!! Holloway telling press conf what Adam would bring to Liverpool, how we need his passing and could replace alonso who we haven't replaced yet (even though meireles is a good player). You've got to laugh at the guy. I actually like him, doing exactly what we ad fans would want him to say if roles were reversed.

Bensmith times reckons club attempting to sort Suarez deal out in next 48 hours with commoli on the case. More in tomorrows paper apparently
-
Fair play, you have to be balanced and saythat sky are bigging us up here. Rail, Torres, reina all getting the 'you were good, treatment!
-
Fantastic. Not getting ahead of myself cos we are still mid table, but I love my club again. This was a huge game, cos although I thought we looked much improved in patches during kennys first 3 matches, we HAD to turn it into points or our slightly renewed optimism and confidence would have dropped quickly. As it I'd we proved what we all that, things ARE getting better. Long way to go but gives us a platform to kick on now. A couple of signings next week and we really can start looking forward. Well done to every player today. Yes poulsen and skrtel struggled at times but worked their b****x off like every player out there. Good job, keep it going fellas
-
Spearing for poulsen now surely
-
Can we stop giving stupid f***ing Gould away
-
It's outrageous that we've got 2 yellows and them none. Their defender has kicked the f*** out of Torres, and when he gave that free against Torres for having the check to get smashed and pulled from behind it was unreal. Then was kenny was laughing incredulously, commentators couldn't understand why. Level of reffing is appalling but sky never pull them for it unless it's utd
-
You'd hope so. I know we've been here before in recent transfer windows where we've convinced ourselves someone decent MUST be coming in, but surely to god we've got Suarez or someone similar lined up? If we sell babel in order to buy downing and that's it (ie no striker, AGAIN) then I'll lose all hope - the situation us beyond crazy now
-
Think you are missing the point. Personally, I'm desperate for kenny to do well, bunt wish he hadnt given anyone reason to be disappointed!! Most people know poulsen shouldn't be near the squad let alone team, so to see him play in a midfield also containing kuyt, jova and Lucas was gut-wrenching. You can't be surprised that people are pissed of with that
-
I think what's utterly gutting about tonight, not just the fact we have lost to Blackpool (again - f*** me, I can hardly bring myself to say that), but we basically looked the same old under a new manager, bereft of confidence and ideas, when you'd expect us to be buzzing. But even worse than all that IMO, we all love kenny and I'm thrilled he's back, but a small part of me has almost given up after seeing him pick that midfield. Probably the worste midfield I have seen us pick. For all the s*** we've given roy, he'd realised how bad poulsen was so to see kenny pick him, alongside jova, kuyt and Lucas in a midfield so bereft in pace and guile was baffling and gut wrenching and has brought my optimism crashing back down to earth. Let's be brutally honest too, Johnson at lb was horrific and far worse than anything pfk has done. I'm desperately trying to remain optimistic but I'm really really fearful atm.

One of our main problems in the past few months Is our lack of technical ability 'up front'. Approx 90% of our attacks break down when we play the ball forward because the first touch of Torres, kuyt, jova, ngog etc is very very poor. We all know what Torres can do running at goal but back to goal him and most of our attacking players cannot control a quick ball or when under pressure. Coupled with a chronic lack of pace and width, we inevitably create very little from our attacks and it's no surprise we struggle when we go behind. IMO just adding a crouch type player to hold the ball and someone with blistering pave down the flanks like Lennon or young would do us wonders
-
Kuyts touch and passing is, in general, awful. And just as I'm writing that he lumps a cross into row z. f*** me
-
I think we all want hodgson gone, I don't know many who don't. It's great that we vent our feelings on phone ins and forums like this, especially to educate media who are either thick as s*** or have other motives. I think it's fairly obvious to all how much he pisses off fans with his self protecting and delusional comments. All givens. But can we lay off the personal abuse? Some of the stuff is appalling - he may be an idiot but he's not a mass murderer, though you'd think it by some of the s*** aimed his way. We are quick enough to slate other fans as small minded or Neanderthal but some of the stuff on here is horrific. I actually think the club, despite some going mental for lack of public comments, are doing the right thing keeping it low key, working behind the scenes, (hopefully) doing the right thing for long term manager. Even to be commended IMO for looking after roy in what we hope are his final hours / days as manager.
-
Okey dokey. Good luck with that

Good good, have a word. Re-read your last sentence for the ultimate definition of ironic. Better opinions? I beg your pardon for disagreeing with yours. And also re-read your first two replies to me before spouting off about patronising other users. You have at least cheered me up. Slightly.
-
Lol. The forum oracle speaks. Apply for hodgsons job, you'd be quite good, from your throne like. Lol
-
You know f*** all about me. How do you know I haven't got a gormless t*** of a manager? For what it's worth, if I did, I wouldn't sit on my a*** all day twiddling my thumbs letting my paying clients down because I felt sorry for my £100k-a-week self. But I guess you would, so maybe have a little look at yourself, 'son'.
-
Oh f*** off. Re-read my f***ing post. I've slagged off roy till I'm blue in the face over recent weeks and there's enough of it going on to fill 100 forums for me to repeat it ad infinitum. But it does not excuse half-hearted performances from players with s*** attitudes, which Torres has had most of the season to be frank. If he wants to leave in jan, fine, I wouldn't blame him. But until he leaves, I expect 100% commitment. Not half-b****xed, sulky tripe. That goes for every player.
-
Although a vast majority of anger is reserved for that excuse for a manager, it shouldn't hide what was from torres one of the most gutless, useless and don't give a f*** performances from a striker you'll see. Couldn't be f***ed. I don't care how f***ed off he is with the manager, when you get paid what he does and pull on a red shirt you expect better than that half hearted pile of w**k. I'm sure people will criticise me for not saving me anger for woy, but that is almost a given. His sh!teness holds no bounds. But i don't expect that from one of our so called heros, and certainly don't excuse it
-
Says it all really that they are play 15 yards further up the pitch, pressurising our defenders whereas we just sit back and let their back four do what they want while ngog and Torres mark players on the half way line
