Babel wants to leave in the next window on loan to ajax. He said there were mad promises to him that he would play more this season. Only he has been slaugtered after our first defeat. Might be true. He will have to be an instant hit to make sure we will compete this season. Can you really expect that from him? If he does, then we have another world class player in our team!

One more man to mark inside the box instead of Voronin trying to do the Gerrard role. A bit of height and more confidence of scoring.

Which is my point. Why bring on Voronin and Babel when you have Riera and, for what it's worth, N'Gog on the bench?

Dont see us making a unbeaten run for many matches at the moment which will be needed to defeat Chelsea.

Mascherano is currently more trying to distribute the play than Lucas. Lucas only plays the ball sideways. He's the perfect neutral player in a 11 versus 11 training match. Only usefull for keeping the ball as long as possible but no threat passing forwards.

At least with Gerrard we know he will improve massively. We've got no organiser in midfield. And Idon't expect Aquilani to take that role in his first season. There's no aerial presence as well which is costing us dearly.

Honest assesment based not only on tonight, but Babel Voronin Lucas have no f***ing clue how to play proper football in this league!!! PS I know they weren't the reason we lost tonight.

It wouldn't surprise me if Xabi's and Arbeloa's departure would have that kind of negative influence on him. I'm glad that Riera, Fernando and even Arteta (yes, I know) are still here to keep the spanish contigent alive in the city of Liverpool if you know what I mean.

I bought him him once for FM (which was an old version, dont even know which one) and he turned out to be really s***!! Dont shoot the messenger, but just passing some old bad memories.

Thats where Lucas has to come in to the picture. But he doesn't demand the ball enough and it doesn't help that we're constantly hoofing the ball to Kuyt hoping he will win the header. Babel really hasn't got a clue how to play like a winger. This game is crying out for Benayoun.
