  1. Gotta to feel a bit sorry for Barry at the moment, very awkward situation.
  2. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle3216692.ece good read that
  3. You don't need a bad boy image to be a global superstar, beckham nearly wrecked his 'clean cut' image with his alleged affair. You just need a recognisable image and Torres certainly has that and already has had a huge fan following, have you checked out the RAWK thread on him for example ? he even gets admiration from rival fans for not being a c*** like ronaldo.
  4. Odd tactis or just spite?, subbing Torres later in a game when he could be most effective was more than weird. Senile old b*****d, glad for spain just pissed off it was aragones as manager.

  7. Think some people are writing this story off to quickly, rafa wouldn't broadcast his interest as he'll have enough trouble competing with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal , its also in rafas favour not to get the fans hopes up either, if we state we are interested in Villa and then miss out and 'only' end up with barry, degen and Dossena there will be some pissed off fans. I still think in the short term (rather optimistically) we have some money set aside for transfers even if its not a relatively large amount and yet at the moment all that seems to be happening is a shuffling around of players, barry and alonso probably going for a similar amount, riise leaving and crouch off also, money coming mainly in our direction for a change. Me thinks Ballague is being very careful in his wording and the Echos headline doesn't do us any harm, of course the best tactic would be to tap the player up while they are with the national squad to detemine whether the interest would be reciprocated.....oh hang on.
  8. It doesn't for me. Can't wait to see how it feels when they equal our league record total next year , we'll just feel better cos er chelsea lost I suppose.
  9. Pity he's such an undignified moaning c***, I can respect his achievements but I can't respect him.
  10. wouldn't that put us on dodgy ground as well?

    Gutted

Going in to work with hangovers is only bearable when you have won.....
  12. Anyone know what was in them notes? not that he wrote them himself of course but I would like to know.
  13. His wife must be made up....
  14. I think he'll leave even if he wins it, what better way to go out than on a high? unless the club has one overall owner then it would be madness to stick around.
  15. Rafa will be gone in the summer anyway he cannot stay in a situation as ridiculous as this, who is in charge of the club? who does rafa speak to to get any sort of definative answer about anything?, we have 2 owners, 2 chief executives, 2 former board members hanging around like a bad smell and as inept as ever and one manager who despite everything has managed to keep his dignity and integrity.....f***ing upsetting and embarassing watching this play out, sick of it, sick of all of them bar Rafa. As for Klinsman I can't see what he's done wrong, its probably him who has alerted Rafa to the knife being firmly planted in his back by all parties, the only thing they seem united on is talking to Klinsman and looking at management options...now we are seeing the result, all of them trying to blame each other for it .
  16. I think whats particularly annoying me with all the media coverage of these games is that Liverpool is being treated as the away team, it could almost be that we are coming from abroad to play arsenal.
  17. 'composed' seems a really good word to describe him, looked calm, didn't look over awed, decent debut.

  20. Must admit that it will be nice to knock out the greatest team in the history of football,...I look forward to all the pundits siding with them.
  21. Though many, including Jamie Carragher, will take much convincing that Benitez's investment in the Slovakian central defender Martin Skrtel is going anywhere but the loss column, Just been reading this online, whats that all about? once a journo makes his mind up about player theres nothing they can do to then redeem themself. Lawton has gone right off the boil, used to write some cracking stuff and not just becos it was pro-liverpool (although that helps) but if you are going to come out with s**** like the above then its reason enough not to bother.
  22. Easy to have a rethink when one of the owners has managed to shut his gob for the first time in awhile and that might only be becos there is a strong possibility he is selling up anyway, just becos its gone quiet it does not mean things are settling down ,it just means there is a power vacuum and the club is paralysed by inaction and two owners who allegedly don't get on,it still makes them c**** who need shifting out ASAP. 'The stadium plans are progressing'...are they? why...becos they showed us a new set of pictures, untill something is getting built before your very eyes then its a load of b******s.
  23. aye, just can't help thinking that Hicks won't sell no matter what and that he loves confrontation, fan protests would probably make him more determined cos he can sit in america and just ignore them, to think we could be stuck with someone of his character for the forseeable future is just horrendous. Heard nothing from Gillett and there was that announcement yesterday of premier league matchs being played abroad......Hicks is seeing the money, he won't let liverpool fall out of fat texan grubby hands.
  24. Hardly a surprise though is it?
