whats with the fascination with 'wavy' roofs, defo more intimidating

Parry seems to have been completely sidelined, don't know if he has but thats my impression. I'm sort of glad Hicks has got a PR firm handling his business rather than sending out Parry doing his bidding.
-
Hicks does a predictable PR campaign to get everyone back on side and seems to be having some great success...I await Hicks next f*** up, its inevitable it will come as the man cannot keep his gob shut and will not stay out ofthe limelight, then there will be more irate fans and then he'll do some PR and then everyone will get back on side and so and so. Is this the pattern for the future?...depressing if it is.
-
No its not the maddest idea ever considering he can manage to reply to nearly every email any Liverpool fan seems to send to him at the moment.

We only have a plan for a new stadium not a new stadium in the offing, yet another plan after their first plan proved too expensive after much fanfare in the press, thats without mentioning the first first plan that got scrapped. They have said they have some initial funds to start the new stadium but they have no idea of how they will fund it but lets applaud them anyway....or ......lets not be too quick to give them credit for something that seems no closer to being reality than it ever has been. Its all pie in the sky untill we it getting built before our eyes. As for Mascherano for some time now it seemed that the deal would just go through with no hitches that was untill articles started appearing in the press about the managers future, when we do eventually sign him which we all expected would happen anyway it will come across as a 'new' signing....thats quite handy, PR surely? 'the debt partially shared between investor and club'....only becos it had to be and as someone said before who pays for it all in the end?

350 million in debt thats even without another loan to finance the new stadium and the plan to build the new stadium amounts to 'we'll cross that bridge when we come too it'. Theres me thinking these people have detailed plans. 'far as I'm aware, they now fully backed Rafa, he has money to spend and the stadium is ready to go' Rafa selling sissoko brings his net spend still further down, is this money that has been brought back into the club going to be used to fund the mascherano transfer or will it like the other player transfers come from yet another loan that the club will have to pay back. All this is without Hicks being a compulsive liar, Gillett going missing and the manager being put under intolerable pressure.

Hicks and Gillett think a deal is imminent - BBC 'City sources told The Daily Telegraph last night that the deal had hit a last-minute hitch' Unfortuntely the BBC seems to be the most recently updated , has this last minute hitch been ironed out? will be interesting to see what David Bond writes in the telegraph tomorrow if anything. Would it be possible for Hicks and Co to be kept in the dark somewhat themselves at all?....I just have a wonderful vision in my head of them going along ready to sign and seal everything only for the RBS to laugh in their face.

its going to drag on then!

Here's what you wished you had = Kraft Here's what you could have had = DIC Here's what you ended up with = pair of clowns, actually 3 counting Parry -

Theres been a couple of interesting posts made on RAWK by Cowtownred

'although the source suggested that a different investor – or partnership – might be behind the £350m bid' if its not DIC then who is it?
-
Seems obvious they are cranking up the pressure on rafa so its him who walks, must all be down to money, if rafa walks do Liverpool have to pay out his contract or not? if they don't then we have the answer, I think they have wanted him out from the start really.

He still manages to get sympathy from people mainly becos he can talk well . Some of the most deceitful, violent and disgusting people I have ever met have been the ones who can talk a good talk and justify their actions. In their own mind what that say and do has a good reason behind it, someone else always provokes them, they never start it....funny that. Bet Barton is currently sitting in jail wondering why the whole world is against him, 'knowing' he didn't start any fight , despite being caught on camera randomly lashing out at people. Let him rot.

I remember it all slighty differently, DIC looked nailed on to takeover at Liverpool and the next thing we know the club have been sold to the highest bidders in the yanks followed by a concerted PR battle by the club to convince us all that DIC were not what they seemed, it was a speed of the turnaround that astounded everyone. I thought Moores didn't go for DIC becos it was found they had an exit strategy?

Going off the point slighty but still on the topic of marketing and media, went christmas shopping over the past few days and was pissed off to see manchester united and rooney books all over the place, tesco in prescot ,asda in huyton and even rooney books being sold in some cheapo bookshop in bold street (forget its name). I don't even think supply and demand can be argued as a reason for this as the Liverpool and everton books had obviously sold out while there was loads of their s**** still on the shelves, manchester united are brilliant at the distribution of their materials ,they get f***ing everywhere. If a nuclear explosion happened I'm convinced the only things left standing would he a cockroach and a book on the history of manchester legends. rant over.

Anyone watching it? I'm choked up after seeing Bobby Robson get a lifetime achievement award, sadly looks very ill but gave a gave a cracking speech.
-
'Rafa shouldn't have worn the shell suit'. imagine the wearing of a shell suit as being one of the reasons you got sacked! one thing about a shell suit though is that they aren't fire proof.
-
is this a joke? I'm more than 100 per cent sure that Rafa isn't just kicking off just over 'money', ,he's said so himself thats its more about how fast you move to secure deals than anything else, even on free transfers. You mustn't have a high opinion of rafa at all but you are doing him a disservice. As for blind faith, I think I'll stick to blind faith in Rafa rather a couple of yanks who I know nothing about, who know nothing about football and who have managed to release more public statements in a few days than david Moores did in years. Wonder what Moores is thinking seeing whats going on recently? As for your other point about the mancs american owners, I'm assuming having a competent go between is vital for the manager and the owners, if thats the case then Rick Parry is doing a sterling job as always. I don't see how can rafa or the owners can repair the lack of trust this whole lack of communication has caused to honest.

Worries me slighty that it seems so matter of fact 'rafa wil be sacked' rather than 'might be' or some source telles me etc.Hopefully its more a case of basecombe going down the s***ter since moving from the echo and having pressure on him to write sensational stories rather than being the truth.
