Personally I've thought for some time that Benitez is far too stubborn for his own good. Before the season started even I could see, as a fan, that we were lightweight up front and needed to buy forwards. Also. we didn't address the wings...again. Keane was never given a fair chance and I think he'd do a good job. I also don't think we should have got rid of Crouch. He's made massive mistakes in terms of team building in my eyes and that is not the fault of the owners.

Seth Johnson...I think he was available for 7mil but didn't want to come as he wanted guaranteed first team football so he could showcase the fact he was an absolute tower of s****!

I haven't seen the reserves this year so for those that have, how would you rate Pacheco's chances of making it into the first team next year? Do you think he looks like a week in week out Premier League player?

Let's be honest if we didn't have a Spanish manager and a load of their players we'd be going on about how little class this shows. Personally think it's a disgrace and they have should have more respect for the opposition. If Portugal had gone on to win it and they'd done the conga while they interview some of the losing team with Ronaldo at the front everyone on here would be going mental about it.

Ramos seems to know what he's doing and they have a solid nucleus of side with money to spend as well so i'll say Spurs. Everton should have a reality check this year and miss out on the top six (fingers crossed). Portsmouth and City to fill the next couple of spots.

One of the lads at work was muttering something about Ronaldo and Nike disussing a contract for the equivalent of £100,000 a week for him to promote his own clothing range 'CR'. I agree that this particular thread should be for those of us who have something positive to say about Riise and I for one appreciate the fact that he always gave his all for the club and clearly loved playing for us (so if you want to be negative post in the ginger cvnt thread). Granted he has his limitations but I always thought he was better than many people gave him credit for. I don't agree with likening him to McManaman or Owen however, as they both p1ssed on the club on their way out and manufactured transfers for personal gain and the promise of greater things at another club (which in Owen's case came back to bite him on the @rse). They clearly didn't give two sh1ts about LFC and I for one lost all respect for them when they did what they did. Riise never asked to be transfered and while I think those two deserve much of the grief they get I don't think Riise does. On a slightly different note though, I'm concerned that JAR has chosen a club who's kit is clearly going to clash with hair! Those colours just don't go together and I can see many more years of him trawling the net for women... Good luck JAR, YNWA.

Still think there will be a few twists and turns here and that he will end up staying for one or two more seasons. If he did leave ManU it would be a massive blow to them and although as NWR points out they have will have lots of money to buy players they have that already and in my opinion he's a loss that would seriously weaken them as a team (which of course i'd be chuffed about!)

We were linked with Lassana Diarra from Portsmouth at the weekend...personally haven't seen him play much but quite a few clubs seem to be interested.

erm..i don't want to p1ss on anyones chips but there is no way that Liverpool are signing Villa and it's as simple as that. We can't afford him and also he wants to stay in Spain apparently and if he does come to the UK it's likely to be to someone with far more money than us...i.e. Chelsea,
