I think the problem is that the players have lost all belief in themselves and quite possibly with the manager, while Benitez has lost belief with some of the players. The manager is the man charged with instilling this belief and confidence in the players, who just like all humans need freedom to express themselves. While in reality they are increasingly treated like robots, many of which do exactly what they are told, except humans can be easily confused, especially when they are footballers, who we all know the vast majority are thick. So the solution to all our problems is the players should be smarter and then we wouldn't be in this mess?

Just to add that the cvnt felt the need to cheat in the last minute 3-1 up against Derby. He then took away a probable hat-trick for a new striker and celebrated like the horrible cvnt that he is. The players have been getting away with murder for years, which is probably a result of the team, when fit, picking itself. This is something Benitez very smartly avoids, as it can be a disaster for any team. Once the rut starts it's not easy to get out of it.
