  1. Aspas €10m, Borini €13m, Sturridge €15m, Balotelli €20m Those are significant amounts of money. I wouldn't class them as bargain fees apart from Sturridge of course.
  2. Yes and despite him having a stinker at the moment, I think Lovren is the man brought in to replace him. There are other players around him who could arguable be gotten out first (Mignolet, Johnson) but I would definitely be trying to build from a Lovren-Sakho partnership. It would be strange to identify a problem, drop all that money on it and then not give them a run together to get some consistency.
  3. Agreed. There was value last season in playing that deep role because of the attacking options. We don't have that relentless attacking threat now.
  4. Comfortable win for Chelsea. They were hardly troubled.. away at Anfield.. against rested players.
  5. In what regard is he miles better? Better athlete? Is he superior aerially? Read the game better or organise a defence better? I would say no.
  6. The dramatic turnaround in fortunes starts here. With hardwork, discipline, organisation and a good team spirit they can be beaten. I've seen enough boring nothing performances to last me the season. 2-1 away win.
  7. You pay the top players absurd money or you f**k off
  8. Where last season I would expect to win by three or four goals every game, this season I expect a loss every game. It's a weak team all over.
  9. You mean Carra right?
  10. I don't find it baffling. The two strikers that carried the team all last season aren't playing.
  11. Gives a sitter to Messi and it's missed.
  12. Coutinho Sterling

  14. We're not getting off this lightly in the away leg.
  15. Yep never seen this defensive* side of his play before. On top of that he's an absolute terror with the ball at his feet going past people.
  16. It's the same kind of attitude you see from relegation teams resigned to their fate. You just walk over them.
  17. theres that softness we saw at QPR
  18. he was surrounded by five of ours, not just the centre backs at fault
  19. How the f*** was the keeper supposed to get that?
  20. Credit where it's due. He was the reason we got the opening goal. He told Sterling to give it and he put a good ball in for the Dunne o.g. On a really bad day for the defence he was the least of the worries.
  21. Don't need him, we have own goal now.
  22. Do a Robbie Keane on this one. He's appalling as expected.
  23. Coutinho by a mile Sterling Gerrard
