  1. It's actually Harry Kewell in the background... who (along with Pongolle) was the best player on the pitch that day!
  2. Nice one!! I'm made up for them... the fans are still s**** though!
  3. Well in Riggs!! Come on... get the winner to make up for Sunday :D
  4. I think I'm right in saying he was close to joining under Houllier at one point. I'm sure I read he had talks with us more than once. Not a chance in hell of it happening I feel - but it'd be amazing if it was true!
  5. My suggestion? Giles Barnes of Derby. Only 17, played about 15-20 games for the first team, and from the bits I've seen and the reports I've heard he's gonna be special! Many used to rave about Huddlestone, but I was never a fan, but this Barnes looks a hell of a prospect. He's strong, mobile, can pass, and seems to have a good footballing brain. He needs to improve his goal scoring and tackling, but he's only a kid and seems to have many of the attributes you'd look for. So there you go... So has anyone else got any young pups others won't know much about, who they believe will make it?

    Manc Scum

Mate... Did you see the state the place was left in? We can stick our moral high ground up our a*** as well!!
  7. What a f***ing day!! Just look at the difference between the 2 sets of fans before kick off. Our end was bouncing, and they were sat there politely applauding. We were f***ing brilliant out there today. We certainly know how to put on a show!! I know for many games we're just like the rest of them, and Anfield in certain home games is shocking, but when it's time to put on a show, nobody can touch us! Sam Platts was boss as well... The tinnies were expensive though
  8. In the bogs there were 2 queues. One for a piss, and one to write on the wall. There was alsorts written everywhere - it's gonna be a hell of a lcean up operation!!!
  9. Ask Dennis Irwin where's a good bet

Rafa is brilliant - FACT!! Manages to get a few digs in when needed - without sounding like an bitter t*** Manages to crank up the pressure occasionally - without it looking obviously like mind games Manages to talk up his team - without sounding arrogant COME ON YOU MIGHTY REDS!!
  11. I deffo want Boro to win it! And Southgate to be injured so my mate is Captain:D
In other words, he's a right winger, fairly good, plays in Spain, so let's link him with Liverpool!! Saying that... he's a cracking little player!
  13. I'm ashamed to say I forgot Callaghan Sorry Ian!!!

  16. I can't be arsed to articulate, so I'll to settle for "That's f***ing b******s"!! Get yer own opinions rather than spouting s**** you've heard elsewhere!!
  17. I would love this deal to happen. I thing SWP would add a hell of a lot to our team, suit our style, and would be a fantastic signing. Quick, scores goals, good crosser, works hard, tracks back. Yes please!
  18. Was the with Colin Lawrence?
  19. Vinny's a distant cousin of mine. RIP
  20. When I was mascot I met a fair few of the players. The only ones I spoke to were Alan Hansen (who said to stick close to him), and Craig Johnston (who gave me a pep talk on the pitch). When i stood on the sidelines after to get a phonto taken with the dugout in the background Kenny tapped me on my shoulder, asked if i wanted a photo and sat me on his knee, telling me what a good job i did as mascot!! :D I've also met: Aldo - in his bar Luis Garcia in John Lennon Airport - Ben said "Ola Luis" and he said "Ola" back. Luis Garcia and Milan Baros in the Main Stand when they were out injured. I spoke with Geoff Strong in the Directors Lounge for a bit whilst watching the Newcastle v Everton game before we played Arsenal. He said "you're a really funny guy" Sammy Lee thanked me for going to the match after Bolton away when we were at the same do in The Vines. He bought me a beer as well!! I asked Sammy Lee, Ian St John, Jimmy Case, and Brian Hall for autographs in the directors lounge. I think that's about it!

  22. I don't know about him commiting his future to Boro, but as of yesterday he wasn't aware of any interest from Liverpool!! That one is deffo paper talk. Our interest in him ended in 2002!
  23. So many stories of lucky escapes, I thought I'd add ours. My brother had a ticket in the Leppings Lane and was going to go with the same 2 lads he went with every week. Brian Clough of all people was, at the time, a family friend and he actually sorted us some tickets which were on Row 1 (it turned out to be Row 1 of the second tier, but we didn't know that at the time) I can still remember my Brother arguing with my Mum as he wanted to go with his mates and my Mum was adament he had to go in the stands, simply because it was Row 1 so she was worried that we'd be near the dugout in case Clough saw he wasn't there and didn't us get tickets in the future. Whilst I hate Clough for what he said, I cannot hate him myself as part of me thinks he saved my brothers life. Regarding my brother's 2 mates. One made it back, and the other didn't. I can't even begin to imagine how I'd cope if Ben or Kev or any of the lads never returned from a match. I honestly don't think I'd be able to ever go to another match - I'm sure deep down the reason my brother has moved abroad and stopped going the match (apart from the odd game when he's back which is about once a year) is because of that day. RIP Paul Clark

  25. I thought you had to be in Athletic Madrid's reserves, and in and out of the South African international squad to get a work permit? Have the rules changed?
