Bootle Buck

Spot on mate! I was thinking the same. The problem is many teams seem to be able to hold them off until about 60 minutes and then cave in. It's almost like they go there alraedy beaten and even after keeping them scoreless inevitably feel like they will concede. It reminds me of man Utd in their pomp, except they were hard to stop when going forward. Even Barca and Bayern made the mistake of going to Stamford Bridge and trying to play end to end football. If they would have stifled them then the victories at home would have been good enough.

32 shots he has at least 8-10 a game. Maybe you are counting the ones on target and not the many that go for field goals or carreering against an opponents @rse.

How many players have the luxury of shooting from wherever regradless of players in better positions. Which players have the luxury of not having to track back and tackle. The joker on ESPN last night said Lampard is a great box to box midfielder. Granted he does score some crackers but could you imagine Gerrard carelessly shooting EVERY time he gets the ball. One in 15 must go in. I would hate to play on the same team as the c***.

He's saving himself for March or May whenever we reach the next final. He is desperately trying to get himself fit enough to at least last until half-time.

Probably a good post if you can stay awake until the end of it.

Josemi at LB is a surprise. Let's hope he doesn't have a pacey player like Henrick Pederson up against him

This is a Monster of a club waiting to take off Two Words: Leeds United

I have a feeling this Owen thread will be continuing until 11:59 pm on August 31st. It appears both clubs are going to let it go right down to the wire. I would have loved to have it sewn up before MO goes off with the England squad.

He we signed "The Precious" yet.

Getting to the ball first is the key to a forward playing up there alone. Second comes the next touch and it has to be spot on. Morientes and Cisse look like they are frustrated an lacking in confidence and they are not doing those two things. However, Rafa needs to keep them focused and if they can start being first to everything and gaining confidence in front of goal, the goals will come.

That's not what I meant. If e would have finished the season 5th and no CL many would be far less tolerant of the lack of cohesion in our strikers. I think many are still on a high from May and are being a little more patient than they normally would.

Maybe it's Moro's carefree trotting around the field still not coming to the conclusion that you have to work your @rse off for every ball in England. Or Cisse's frustrating shoot on sight attitude that usually goes way wide or his senseless pushing the ball too far past his man. I have watched both of them and I will tell you one thing. If we wouldn't have won the CL last season practically everyone on here would be saying they were not good enough right now.

Parry uses the same tailor Sir Bob used to use Oh and what a fecking day in history that was

That One!

He'll have one at the end of this season
