Because with all those chances, the Birmingham defenders were all 50 yards away giving him time, space and opportunity to walk the ball over the line. How on earth you can make an argument based upon an offside goal is just ridiculous. Morientes set up (another) goal, laid one on a plate for Garcia, and kept the Brum back 4 on the back foot constantly. He didn't score correct, but again whats the difference between a striker who scores 20 goals and a striker who scores 10 and sets up another 10? I've converted plenty of offside goals in football matches, does that make me a better bet then Morietes and Crouch?

For me it was good, not spectacular (apart from one transfer obviously) but we're stronger because of our dealings. We've got center back cover in Agger, so we're protected there, a new right back to replace Josemi, and a striker with a proven record at Anfield. Could have done with a winger, but you can't have it all.
