Assuming we've got a max of £10-15m, which I think may be realistic. I'd agree with Larsson as a good short-term option. Can't think of any other proven goalscorers going cheap.... Defoe I'm less and less convinced about. I'd also advocate giving Sinama a shot, was really impressed with his goals against Luton. Then I'd go all out on the RW, esp as Garcia, Zenden and Gonzales each have some issues playing wise. While I think LB has definite room for improvement, I think defence isn't the problem at the moment and there's lots of LB cover. as for who to go for - Simao is the obvious one. If we could get Joaquin great, but not at our budget I fear. There's no-one in the prem who's both good enough and attainable IMO. Therefore it's into Europe on the scout, I'll bow to Rafa's knowledge on this one. As a side note, I'm fuming that none of the media are really picking up on Chelsea's policy of overbidding for everyone elses transfer targets. It's bang out of order, and I wish someone could/would try to do something about it.

we've had quite a few opposition players sent off against us this season, Saltieri being just the latest. Everton, Boro, Wigan are just a few other examples. Does anyone this it's anything to do with the way we're playing, or are we just getting a bit fortunate? I'd like to know how many players have been sent off against us this season, but don't really want to have to check every game. Does anyone know an easy way to find out?

my post wasn't directed solely about the next LFC/England games, but the point is that it's a common occurence that LFC get dicked around by all and sundry while other teams do as they please. We need to be more selfish as a club and protect our interests - it's not like anyone's doing US any favours.

Does he say 'we have a lot of important league and CL games coming up'? no, he wants to make sure he's ok for England. We've seen years of Manc players being unfit for England while making a miraculous recovery 2 days later, then Sven plays Gerrard for nearly 90 minutes - in a friendly - while everyone knows the long season he's set up for. I'm sick of it, I'm sick of the fact that our players don't have the blatant loyalty over club that they should have, and more importantly I'm sick of LFC taking it in the ass while doing nothing to help our situation. Cheers for your help with CL qualification FA, making our season 3 weeks longer that everyone else's while we improve Englands EU Quotient. Here's our best players, make sure they get extra minutres out there as they need the match practice. I'm sure it'll have no impact at all on our ability to compete on about 6 fronts including the Japan snorefest we have to attend. Rant over! it's been a long day!
