    He could do worse than play Schneiderlin and Herrera together with Pogba ahead of them. Up front Martial on the left, Mkhitaryan on the right and Rashford through the middle would at least give them some legs and movement.

    I still worry a little about Lovren's judgement/temperament although his form has improved beyond recognition. By contrast, Lucas has a very sensible head on his shoulders.

    Reckon he will be a good addition. He has a languid style that reminds me a bit of Barnes in the Evans era. He plays the game at his own pace, shields the ball well and is economic with his touches.

    Feel bad leaving out Henchoz who was a real favourite of mine. Riise gets in as he was part of the 2005-6 defence and for his longevity otherwise Aurelio would have got the nod.

    If Coutinho signs a new 5 year deal in the next few days then I suggest we all start brushing up on our Mandarin.

    They have clearly been working on a 433 formation in pre-season whereas we saw a lot of 4231 last season. I'm going to wait to see how it fares when Karius, Matip and Can are all in place.

    Its not the same but its the correct approach. I don't remember us ever signing an already "world class player" even when we ruled English and European football.
