But then I would say Skrtel and particularly Insua aren't exactly slow either. You don't necessary need a very fast back line to defend well. Strikers are generally quicker than at least central defenders any ways, no?

Slightly suspicious XI, but a more than capable bench. With Carragher at RB at least that usually mean we'll be pretty solid along the back line. As always these days I think a lot depends on how Masch, Lucas and to an extent Gerrard handles the midfield. When our CM have a good game we tend to win.

Any reasonable chance of Aquilani starting? Would love to see that myself. May be straw-clutching, but a new CM might be what it takes to turn this season around.
