It's a tough one between Crouch and Kuyt. I think it could be either one tbh, but Kuyt would be my bet. And yes, we can't make the same mistake again so Mascherano must sit deep and take out Kaká. If we stop him we stop about 75% of their attacking capabilities.

I suspect that Rafa will go with 5 in midfield, with Mascherano dropping deep to take Kaká out of the game. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see something like ------------- Reina Finnan - Carra - Agger - Riise ---------- Mascherano Pennant - Xabi - Gerrard - Kewell ---------- Crouch/Kuyt

I seriously doubt that Riise could pull it off. He's got no right leg to swing his left around!

Unbelievable that something like that happened in Allsvenskan, which could be the most unsexy top division in Europe.

Agreed.

Zenden? Momo? Gonzalez? I think at least one of them will go.

Is right.

Disagree. Bellamy uses his pace better, is technically superior, a better finisher and is much, much more of a team player than Djibs. But I also think we need someone better, like Henry.

The club and a lot of fans clearly don't miss him though, and neither do I. Get rid.

Kacaniklic has been offered a contract and he seems keen, but AFAIK he hasn't signed yet.

Yeah he was out for a while. Finished on 34 goals in 31 games, very impressive indeed. As for if he's a Romario or a Kezman, that's obviously hard to tell as long as he's still there. He is more talented than Kezman though, not to mention the fact that Kezman played in a better team.

Wouldn't mind Alves coming here. He was very good here in Sweden, but his development since moving to Heerenveen.. f*** me.

Hyypiä Insua Pennant

Apart from the lovely through ball to Kuyt he was absolutely dreadful yesterday.

Yep, that's the team from UEFA. Should be right. Subs: Dudek, Arbeloa, Hyypiä, Gonzalez, Pennant, Bellamy, Zenden PSV: Gomes, Kromkamp, Da Costa, Simons, Salcido, Mendez, Väyrynen, Cocu, Culina, Farfan, Diego Subs: Moens, Kluivert, Eric Addo, Feher, Sun Xiang, Marcellis

Crouch Mascherano Aurelio

Daniel Alves Franck Ribery Miroslav Klose

He's really not a bad player, but he's just not what we need anymore. His passing isn't good enough for him to be a fixture in a side that wants to win trophies regularly, and let's just face: it never will. He's a very good player in his own right, but I sincerely hope that Mascherano has been signed as his replacement. Even if his passing was a bit off yesterday as well, he's shown before that he's a very solid passer.

Don't think i've ever been this bored in my life before. One of the worst halfs of football i've ever seen.

He has a go at everything and everyone who stands in his way, and well.. as he is such an ass himself i don't give much for his opinions about other players attitudes. He wasn't, the original article just says he was thinking about subbing him after 20 mins.. he really didn't. Anyway, he was subbed at half time, but it was his first game in a new club and he should get some time before he's doomed..

Runström is a complete a***. Wouldn't listen to a single word he says.

Good player, but I don't think he's suited for the english game and he's not what we need.
