As issues become relatively clearer and we realise Rafa is probably not getting sacked, its interesting to note how galvanised the fans have appeared in support of him. A solidarity in stark contrast to the board sentiment only 2-3 wks ago. Wonder if its a case of reality hitting people in the face and realising that Rafa could actually be difficult to replace. OR possibly fans were disappointed in the way the story has developed.

Absolutely spot on. Add to that the irony of it all when only 3 wks ago many on this forum were calling for Rafa's head.

With the way the conundrum works you will probably be replaced by 3-4 new "plastic club" glory hunting fans. My take is football has evolved (and is evolving), much like everything else. Ultimately us as fans have to evolve with it or else we are left nursing frustration wounds and nuthin else. Whether the evolution is right or just is always up for debate.

Seems to me hiring and firing frenzies are big this side of the pond too going by recent seasons.

Very difficult to say unless the managers switched sides and we saw what they achieved with respective teams, or managed their teams from the same time. Both however exhibit great but different managerial qualities.
