If that 'transitional' window means hardly buying anyone decent at all, then perhaps getting a manager in more willing to commit to two years might have been sensible. This time next year he'll have a year left. If he's not supported this summer in a huge way, then what's belief will he have next summer that the club believes in HIM? It's a mess.
