He looks better than I expected. His touch, awareness and ability to bring others into play is something that was chronically missing with Nunez.

Macca is better than Dom as the holding midfielder. More intelligent, savvy and technical.

Having slept on it: Our defensive line was all over the shop. Virgil and Konate weren't on the same wavelength for long periods. Happened at Wembley as well. The two new full backs won't have helped but it was happening after the subs. Simple balls down the channels were opening us up too easily as well. Midfield balance was a concern - Macca looked off the pace which is understandable, Wirtz the same and Dom had one of those games where he's hugely frustrating. All of this contributed to the nervy nature of the game. Loads of positives in an attacking sense though. We're just going to have to outscore teams until we're a bit more settled out of possession, new players bedded in and Grav is back.
