Just to add spice to an already well seasoned story: my next door neighbour is an ST at Sunderland. He's got a fanzine with a scanned menu from a sportsman's dinner which O'Neill attended. One SAFC fan asked him if he's still a Makem supporter "not as much as I used to be, but yeah, I still look out for the results". So, would you take the Newcastle job then? "No, I wouldn't". Are you prepared to put it in writing on the back of this paper then? He did (could of course be a hoax).

I hear from an ex-pro who was golfing with several present and past Toon pliers last week it's going to be George Graham. Anyone else?

I've been in the same room/bar/restaurant as most LFC pliers and a few managers over the years. I've spoken to very few - and then only if they spoke to me first - I feel strongly that they should be allowed their privacy and can do without me butting in and asking them questions they've heard many times before. I used to do a lot of LFC memorabilia. If you still have that picture it's worth hundreds of £s now (not that you'd sell it).

If 1 share will, it must have been changed. Years ago (before I got an ST) I looked into buying a share for the same reasons...easy access to tickets...was told I needed more.

Would only work in conjunction with concessions/lowered prices.....unfortunately the game is just too expensive for many now.
