I'm not denying that, he was at fault for the goal. Still WAY too early to have any sort of opinion on him though.

I'm sure he does, but the only positions we've been looking to strengthen that we've struggled with have been RM and CB and we were looking for something pretty specific, not just any RM or CB, but a RW with certain attributes (pace, the ability to beat people, score goals and cross well) and a CB who was good enough to challenge two of the best in Europe. The list for each of those roles probably isn't very long.

Our "hoofing" was as much down to the midfield as the back 4, you can only pass it to a midfielder if he gets into the space to receive it. Credit to the United midfield too, they may be mediocre but they worked incredibly hard today

I'm sure Rafa is involved in the deal after handing it over the Parry, Parry probably comes back to him and says "this is how much they're asking for, is he worth it? etc. "Missed out" suggests we f***ed up the deal, someone asking for too much money isn't really missing out, we've had far more successes than failures in the transfer market during the last two years

Who? The only players we've "missed out" on since Rafa came in are Owen, Simao and to a far lesser extent Walcott. Most on here seem to agree with out conduct in each transfer.

Why is Rooney allowed to scream abuse at refs 20 times a game without getting a card? Anyone else would be sent off for what he does.

I agree he wasn't offside, thought he had given it as offside though, I stand corrected and even more infuriated.

Let's not overstate the case here lads, we were the better team, we should have won, we defended well (one blip aside) and retained possession well most of the time, we had no real creative edge in the final third though and that's what cost us.

You could tell that Rafa's idea was to get Cisse exploiting the space left by Evra's forays forward, Gerrard kept pointing it out to him in the first 20 minutes, he just didn't make the right runs though.

Xabi is worth a lot more than £10m, Luis is worth more than £6m, Sissoko is worth more than £5.6m, Finnan is worth more than £3.5m, Hyypia is worth more than £2.3m, Riise is worth more than £4.5m, Reina is worth more than £6m etc etc Every transfer is a risk, some come off some don't.

It's not different to bringing the touchline in a couple of yards or leaving the grass long. Completely against the spirit of the game but I doubt it's against the rules. I'd say it happens all the time too.

Better all round footballer than Hartson, better on the ball. Hartson's a good player though.
