I remember with Alonso, there was alot of debate as to whether he would go or not and his love for the club. The situation went on for weeks and even when we all knew it was a matter of when and not if there werent any quotes till right at the end. Players dont like to be seen as the ones pushing for the move so Torres will either come out and say he is staying and its b****x or he is off imo. Negative - but I cant get away from FSG and our transfer window...yet again we are at the end of the window and are playing hardball, its all well and good at times but not when you need to make a statement of intent. FSG need to deliver, they delayed over RFH and now are being seen to be the same re transfers.

I have a theory, Ajax have serious financial issues by all accounts...its possible (definitely straws and clutching at) that they have agreed to sell him to us already, but the announcement is being delayed to give them a plausible excuse for not spending the funds. The deal gets "agreed" on Sunday which conveniently doesnt give them time to spend the money and they can sort out there financial issues. Very unlikely but who knows
