  1. I agree, we should keep him - it sends a clear message to all. There is a possibility (very slim i think) that he could change his mind in the next 6 months, but its not about that its time we started dictating how clubs need to interact and deal with us. They're a rival, not a team in different league who have little impact on us and where we finish. We have new owners who have taken away the financial restraints and requirements to sell. So who cares if he sits on the bench fo 6 months...he may want to go but so did Tevez, Rooney and moreso Fabregas. We will always be able to sell him in the summer we know its going to happen and the squad needs to be bulked up regardless. Buy a few players, introduce more competition and bench him for a while. Make him and our competitors realise that we dont accept this type of s*** and will suffer the possibility of losing a few million in order to do a deal when we want to and the time is right. FSG need to realise that they played there part in this, there failure to act over Roy means we are in a situation where we are out of every competition (bar one with little meaning) and our league position is so bad that we will need a "planets align"type sequence of events in to get back into Europe. By Europe I dont mean the mickey mouse UEFA cup, i mean the CL as lets face thats what we all want to watch and I am sure the players want to be competing in it too. FSG dithering in the transfer window has also not helped I would think, I agree its wrong for a player to be dictating how and when you do business in the league but FFS make a statement, a signal of intent and yet we were seen to haggle and play hardball with Ajax for weeks...how much has refusing to pay Ajax's premium cost us now? We have lost probably lost our most marketable player, a huge shirt seller and advertising force for the sake of what, maybe 5 million euros? Its not all there fault, and yes Torres is acting like a spoiled child but he is one of the best strikers in the world...and if youre going to pull out the stops to keep one player maybe it should be for someone like him? I am f***ing angry, gutted, sad all at the same time. Nothing is going to make me more angry then seeing a player whom I thought was one of us pull on that blue s**** and kiss that badge. If it serves any purpose it will that all footballers are the same, they say the right things, some even do the right things but its all a charade and the only people they care about are themselves.
  2. Guardian running with almost exactly the same story - I expect a briefing He is going - there will be no change of mind or any b****x like that, expect to see him in blue tomorrow - i am seriously gutted
  3. If he does go i think we should rename him FJT...though the other option c**t would also suffice
  4. Good idea, think i may write that on my Torres voodoo doll...
  5. f*** Moores and Parry f*** Gillette & Hicks f*** Purslow f*** Hodgson f*** chelsea
  6. I dont know, the Chavs are a team I despise more than most....they represent everything I cant stand about football, a team of aging mercenaries, epitomised by one of the biggest c**ts in world football who also happens to be there captain.
  7. Exactly, ffs of all the teams the chavs - sickens me Whats more annoying, seeing the pictures of him training alone I actually felt sorry for him.
  8. Me too
  9. i think he will, lets be honest what difference does it make to Abramovich? Its not as if he isnt already bankrolling them, they are just trying to get him on the cheap as any club would do in the same situation
  10. I am sure they will to get one over on us and get one of the best strikers in the world too...
  11. I thought the transfer window was closing at 11:00 tomorrow and not 23:00?
  12. There is no way that Young is worth 30 mil, he isnt even worth 20 mil! 15 at the very most and that includes the "english" tax
  13. Anelka i expect - who is not the standard we need and can f*** off
  14. Hes gone imo, if he was going to retract the TR or the like it would have already happened. Plenty of time today to sort that out and do a video for lfc.tv.... he wants to go and will get his move i expect
  15. Exactly, if we cannot do it here where can we?
  16. The whole Roy saga (FSG you t***s delaying his sacking has a part to play in this) slowly but surely pushed me away from the club, I started out angry, I would be shouting various expletives at how we played and Roys incompetence. As the months wore on...my connection to the club became lessened...I stopped watching games and when I did just sat there quietly, non plussed with what was happening. Worse still knowing that any wins would serve to paper over the cracks and extends Roys tenure. Kenny comes in, for the first time in ages I am actually looking forward to games again, literally counting the days (or nights as some say on here!). Now this happens and its like going backwards, whether we like it or not the connection we have with the club is because of the players/manager and when one of them, the one who I "had" such high regard for (naive i know) does this a little bit of that connection breaks away. Thanks Torres!
  17. Fans are a fickle bunch, I am sure we all have been at times...but this is something that really stings today. I am really f***ing hurt - I know I should know better and all footballers are the same...etc etc...but I honestly thought he was better then that. The way in which this has happened today, I am sure there is a way back but It will never be the same, the chavs... If it was someone else in Spain or Italy it would be different but the Chavs, there arent many teams i hate more LOL
  18. We should bring in another striker (other than Suarez), drop him to the bench for a while and let him work his way back into the team
  19. But people accept there w*****s and more relevant there both mancs, with Torres I honestly thought that he wasnt cut from the same cloth or as stupid as Tevez & Rooney How f***ing naive was i
  20. Agree - but it shows that he wants to leave and made it official, thats enough for me and most fans i am sure
  21. Agree with this
  22. Whats even more annoying is that a number of my friends have been saying for a while that Torres is going to leave, i say you know i dont think Torres is like all the other mercenaries out there and is a loyal type. Submitting a TR just kills all that
  23. I know all footballers are the "same" but jesus i was probably nieve in thinking that Torres had some decency and I definitely expected better FFS I am seriously hacked off
  24. Twitter: LFCTV Liverpool FC have confirmed that Fernando Torres has this evening submitted a transfer request. The request has been rejected. www.lfc.tv
  25. I cant believe it - well done Fernando, all those fans who chanted your name and idolised you will now think your a complete tosser much like i do
