Yep me too - just really hacked off with our form and the level of s**** we have been this season.

There was some really interesting points made on the latest TAW podcast, in relation to Valero / Reina and working on his technical deficiencies, its around the 24min mark...the guy who made the comments is a regular on TAW and part of the coaching union (I forget his name) and had spoken to Valero about his methods. Really interesting and unfortunately points to issues with our coaching setup.

Sure, but they should have lined up the replacement - they have either started the process of finding a replacement, already lined one up (Kenny etc), or planning to start at the end of the season which will be too late. The later we leave it the more risk we will end up either over paying or buying more average rubbish (or both!).

Some really interesting discussion re Reina / Valero and the way he was coached...not sure who the guy is on TAW who is part of the coaches union? Really interesting discussion. Talking about technical issues Reina has exhibited most of the season that havent been rectified...points to deficiencies in our coaching setup.

Good post, too many things to be concerned about, I think the problems have been there for a long time but not so pronounced or obvious as we were doing reasonably well, unfortunately under RFH and Kenny our performances on the pitch have been so poor that everything is being examined. Were lacking proper leadership imo, FSG have come in and done alot of things but could you call them succesful owners...no not yet and they have a long way to go prove themselves imo.

What about shared ownership between 3-4 people? Being from down south (Berks - yes i know ooter!) I need to think about logistics and confirm if its viable, too much going on to make it every week but if there are a few of us it could work well. Anyone else up for it?

Newcastle have bought well (really well) but its been a strange season, Arsenal imploding and recovering well, Chelsea & AVB, us and our problems, Spurs & Harrys England ramblings...they had to do well to take advantage but I expect normal service to resume next year, though I am not sure if that includes us. This summer is so important (arent they all ffs), but we have to get our house in order and by that I mean the manager/dof, coaching setup etc otherwise regardless of who we buy (within reason!) we are going to struggle to get into the top 4.

The issue I have at the moment is that the owners currently "appear" to act without a plan, for instance sacking Comolli...has it hindered our ability to do deals (some would say thats a good thing with our recent track record) but what are we doing at the moment, we should be looking to conclude our business before the Euros. The market will be crazy afterwards, if the squad is to undergo substantial changes then a good pre-season is important so players can gel and we can sort out the tactical mess that was this season. Also as we are in the UEFA cup 3rd round (another by product of this s**** season) we will be starting early. I am worried, with Arsenal having secured Podolski and Mvilla (apparently) they will be stronger next season, we need to have a productive summer. It looks like FSG are in the sack now plan later camp, any appointment (manager or DOF etc) will be made too late, as a result we will miss out on our main targets and either overspend on more average s**** or be left with the same holes in the squad from the season before last! Thats my glass half empty side.... My glass half full side thinks they have already lined up Rafa/Hyypia, with Kenny moving back into his Ambassador role and all will be revealed in a few weeks!

Yep its all bit up in the air, no doubt there will be changes this summer but exactly what I have no idea! I have wanted the season to end for ages...hopefully any changes will happen very quickly, currently the owners have given the impression that they sack now plan later!

A poster on Est1892 (Red G), not sure how reliable but he does have ~20k posts: Hmmmmm more talk of cutting the wage bill, not sure how we are planning on "signing the best players" if we arent prepared to pay them.

Yep and Macia too, all things do point to Rafa coming back but didnt he and Macia fall out towards the end? Wayne, heard any new info?

Its the first time I am hearing the Hyypia part, Rafa coming back and Kenny going upstairs has been going around for a while now. I think it would be a good move.
