  1. Not sure I see it with Rogers. Maybe I'm not paying enough attention. Seems a decent player but not sure if his reputation gets a bit of English player inflation. But if our recruitment nerds and Slot wanted him I'd trust them. Would have to bin that "cold" goal celebration though, not having that.
  2. Man, that aggregator account probably wasn't looking for this kind of engagement. Well in, Mo.
  3. Guessing the fitness of Gomez and Konate, and the adaptation of Leoni, will dictate whether we wait until summer or not. The Real Madrid nonsense around Konate might become a factor too.
  4. No worries, hope you have a great time!
  5. Lemke near Alexanderplatz is also decent for some local craft beer (not a trend that took off much in Germany, for obvious reasons, but there are a couple of decent local breweries).
  6. As Paul said, tons of veggie/vegan options here. Just gonna do a bit of an information dump and you can google around to see what you might be into. It will also reflect a bit of a bias to the parts of the city where I have lived or have mates, so for example the "coolest" neighbourhoods are probably Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain and Neukölln, but I don't have a ton of recommendations there because I don't spend so much time there. 7. Do you know if Wharton has some kind of release clause next summer? Been a bit of a standard thing at Palace among the lads they've bought from the Championship, and seems strange how the collective football world has gone, "Nah, not this summer."
  8. United's Amorim adventure has landed the club in a never-ending 3-4-2-1 doom-loop.
  9. Couple of curious moves I only caught up with this morning: Geertruida on loan to Sunderland and Openda on loan to Juve.
  10. s***, our ruse to get a marginal gain over Crystal Palace has been discovered.
  11. Got a foot like a traction engine. The closest thing the modern PL has to Thierry Henry.
  12. Love Schokoladen. Cracking little venue. @kop205 let me get back to you, mate. Should be getting some sleep before an early shift but the Guehi/Isak hullabaloo has kept me up past my bedtime. In the meantime, if you let me know what sort of places, foods etc you’re into, I’ll have a think. Can’t help you with the techno clubs though, not my scene.
  13. Must be so excited to play for a club that appreciates a good No9.
  14. It's next to Mauerpark, border of Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg, yeah. Not the most "Berlin" of neighbourhoods, for sure, but it's a good place to watch LFC, as the local LFC fan group watches there (they used to have viewings in the basement of the neighbourhood's other football bar, FC Magnet). Multiple screens, mix of PL and BL. The Berlin River Plate fan club even has the derbies with Boca put on there and it gets chock with Argentinians (my best mate here is a big River fan).
  15. He is a fantastic player and a great servant, but unfortunately has only played more than 30 PL games in one of his 10 completed seasons with us (2023-24), more than 20 PL games in four. In five of those 10 seasons, he played fewer than 10 PL games.
  16. Have Arsenal sold anyone? Mad how bad they are at that.
  17. Think this is what lay at the heart of trying to sign Guehi in the first place. For years we've had up to three of four CB options who are injury-prone. Getting Guehi in for Gomez would have offered us a lot more security over the course of a season, assuming Leoni doesn't turn out to be a crock.
  18. Think if the Igor thing hadn't broken down, we might have let him fly to Milan. Not sure on the timelines though, so might be wrong on which came first – the Igor deal collapsing or Milan pulling the plug on the Gomez move. But we might still have at least considered the PL offers if we thought Palace were getting their replacement in. Poor Joe. That's two summers in a row we've agreed to sell him only for it to fall through because another deal collapsed.
  19. Really don't think this is the case.
  20. If all this has shown anything, it's that he's been trying to strike a balance between his ambition and his sense of loyalty and duty. Assuming we're still interested in January, it would be weird of him in that context to go from sitting in LFC trackies August to deciding he might prefer a return to Chelsea in January.
  21. Defo. Think he gets a lot more minutes now unless Gomez has one of his rare non-injury-curtailed seasons.
  22. He defo seems the sort to have at least a lurker account that exclusively follows Arsenal fan media, Ted Talk and "daily inspirational quote" accounts.
  23. Yeremy Pino from Villarreal
  24. I reckon so too. Parish’s comments over the course of the summer, “we can’t just let him go for free” etc, show he wanted to sell the player, knowing Guehi wouldn’t sign a new deal. But every time Glasner was asked about it he seemed to be insisting he wouldn’t let him leave. Guess it all came to a head today.
  25. Honestly think money wasn’t the issue here, judging by Glasner’s comments at the weekend. He’s complaining that Palace had all summer to find a replacement and didn’t. We couldn’t affect that.
